Super PI - 1Million ?

Whats your Super PI timing for 1M? :P

Super PI is a program that calculates PI to x bits (I chose 1M as it doesn't take long and seems appropriate :P) you can post however many you want (as in 1M 2M 4M 8M 16M 32M 16K etc..)

If you don't have it http://www.xtremesystems.com/pi/ can simply download there :P

On my Quad Core Q6600 (3.0ghz) i get 18.399 Seconds for 1M
On my Dual core AMD 5200 (2.7ghz) i get 33.469 seconds for 1M

Just made this thread as i thought it would be interesting to see others results, fanks :D

24.774 on my Q6600 Quad 2.40GHz

14.535s

1m 0.359s on 1.5GHz Celeron M lol.

Well consdering you have 4 cores running at over double the clock i don't think it's too bad.

23.000 seconds on quad core 2.4ghz :P

1M = 22.719s
2M = 54.081s

I don't understand why people bought the Q6600 if they aren't going to OC it IMO

Perhaps some people want their computer to last:D.

overclocking would perhaps take 1 year off the CPU's life which can be like 10 years of 24/7 use.

Meh i get a new computer about twice a year anyways, so my CPU wouldnt even last that long :P

Pentium Dual Core @ 2.0GHz

27 seconds for 1m
1min and 2 seconds for 2m
Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.33Ghz
