Probably about that, somehow cheap shops pay a lot. Wilkinson pay £9 an hour where I live and Tesco is only like 5 something lol
LOL what the hell :P
Well my dads friends with the owner of aldi, and I didn't even know they paid £9 an hour, thats OK money imo, but I'll ask him tommorow OK.
Thanks everyone. Rep added. ;) I never knew Wilkinson's paid £9 an hour too. :O
That is true, but you have to be 18 To work in ALDI / LIDDLES
It's OK, I'm 18. Thanks Louis. +rep
£9?! :o
I wish I could work there :(
It is higher than the likes of Tesco/Asda/Morrisons, but I'm 99% sure that the base-rate is something like £6.80, and then you earn extra on top of that depending on how productive the store is.
It's also hard to get jobs in Aldi as they like to employ as little staff as possible, hence why there is only ever 3/4 staff in one store at a time.
Yeah, the one near me has only like, 2 till operators.
you're not 18 are you :S
I am 18 yes.
yeh aldi near me pays £9 sumit lol an hour
earthquake ur full of ****
Haha, yes this is true but you're actually self-employed when working for them. I researched into this and it's a complicated process which means you have to pay so much of your salary to the store to employ you, or something along those lines which is why the rates of pay are so high. You have to pay for your own insurance etc. You're basically not gaining anything financial-wise it's just creating more hassle for yourself with no visible benefits ;).
Just a little heads up.
Did you ask your Dad's friend Earthquake?
Hi sorry for being so late, just asked him as we don't see him much, it isn't £9 an hour, but its roughly that as they tend not to employ so many staff and divide the currency of staff into split hours or something, so you basically have smaller shifts, with more money.
£9 is over double what i get an hour ;[
yeah that's before tax and everything, wont be that much more
i wanna get a saturday job :( £9 is quite reasonable
lol wilkos dont pay 9 pound an hour, my brother works there as a team leader and he only gets 7.59. So, someone is lieing?
Thanks everyone. :)
HOW MUCH! I get £3.75 for being general asst. at a play centre
To the above: I wouldn't get out of bed for that money. I'm sure that is well below min' wage too.
As for Wilko's, they do not pay 9 quid odd an hour, lol.
Lildl and Aldi don't have a lot of staff, so you tend to have to do everything. That includes cleaning the store, security etc.
get a job at royal mail
i get £8.60 an hour (around £200 a week)
I'm a CSW (care support worker) in a mental health hospital and i'm only on 6.75 an hour, but i get £9 on overtime.
It's a pain in the bum though, cause my shifts are all over the place, some says i could be working earlys, some middles, some lates and even some nights. 37.5 hours a week at £255.
Does my bloomin sweed in :(
do i balls! i'm contracted for 24 hours a week, which most people do 40+ hours to get 200 a week.
postman. it's not as easy as it looks - trust me. the pay is pertty damn good for what it is, but i'm always knackered (all the time!) and there's a heck of a lot of work involved before even leaving the sorting office.
