AVG Full version :)
BitDefender Total Security 2009. Can't say I've had any problems with it, it seems to be doing the job.
None
None none and sometimes zone alarm, other times none.
NOD32
I just know that some Mac user is gonna reply thinking their really funny and cool, and they're only going to do it now because I mentioned it but please don't ;)
funny, I have anti virus protection on my mac. Wanna know why? Macs are becoming more and more common to people so hackers and what not are making viruses for them. There are viruses out there. Just like the JPEG thats getting around to mac users.
ESET Smart Security for Desktop
Kaspersky Internet Security for Laptop
Nothing for Linux.
avast! Home Edition.
There are many viruses for mac's theese days,
If you were to download one, the page could check what browser your using, and then give you the mac or the windows virus
all OS's need anti viruses,
Theres ones availible for
*windows
*mac
*linux
and many many more, even if it is just a free one, its good to have it just in case
AVG Anti-Virus free.
NOD32!
No virus software. I havn't had any for a few weeks and my computer is fine. I used to use AVG.
I had none, then I got a virus from my nightly porn ventures :P
So I got AVG Corporate Edition cos its free ;]
I never usually bother but someone gave me their last 5 months of kaspersky :)
None.
OS X
I use a new thing called Common Sense. It's basically where you just don't download dodgy materials.
Avg , norton, avast, ad-aware se personal, windows defender and firewall aswell as the one built into my proxy. They're all pointless as all I really need is the core Windows programs with a modem and i'd be sorted but it's good to be prepared just incase.
With the amount of *cough* videos you have, I reckon it might be necessary?
Haa, fair enough.
I'm not that clever ^^.
norton :D
i didnt have one for like 2/3 years tho lool. im too cheap
Prevx 2 :D
I use Kaspersky on my laptop and avast on my PC.
Norton.
Everyone says its no good, but I haven't had any problems with it. If I get keylogged, it asks me if I want to send an email to the address :P
Norton is well known to use alot of processing power, which slows your PC down quite alot
Norton may not detect the keylogger as it may be binded [crypted] with another file
It also doesn't have the best detection rates.
If your worried about keyloggers you should download KeyScramber, which gives the keylogger the wrong keystrokes as you type them.
Heres a map of how it works:
http://keyscrambler.com/images/howitworks_h.gifhttp://keyscrambler.com/images/howitworks_v.gif
NOTE: This does not remove the keylogger it only stops it from recording your keystrokes
You will still need Anti-spyware in conjunction with keyscramber
Hope this helps!
Kevin.
And where do we get this "KeyScramber"?
KeyScrambler is useless nowadays, most keyloggers record at the kernel level, not the software level rendering the software obsolete.
Also:
ESET Smart Security.
Which reminds me I need to renew my license next month (has it really been a year already?)
2 Year license ftw.
At least mine is legal ;)
Whats the point is not buying the software if you have the money, so that they can develop it?
