Do we act differently online or say things we'd never do in the 'real world'?
i know i say things i'd never say in real life. i'm not as cocky as i am online than in real. what's so scary about saying something rude to someone online? nothing really. i'm pretty much the same irl & online other then that :) & i talk to people online 'bout personal stuff more than real life friends
Well I act like this alot in real life, but tbh in real life I have more control then I do on here, so not many people get rude back. bless.
Yessss. I also say things to people I know irl online, like things i'd never say irl haha lol
Lol Earthquake. I'm like buttons - I'd never act like I do online in real life, and I do open up to people a bit more online.
That's another big point. Talking to real life friends online. I act a tad differently then too, for example, even though I could be extremely tired, I can still type lively.Quote:

No offence lol.
Yeah people do, people are alot more confident when theres a computer screen infront of them instead of actual people.
I can be as confident as I am on here... sometimes, in IRL. Idk, it depends on the sitch really.
i dont speak english irl so yeh
i act the same
but like, i say blonde things irl :(
I act the same online as in real life I think.
I'm a little dweeb in real life but online I feel like a keyboard warrior
I agree with most people, act differently irl than online. I suppose anonimity plays a big factor though.
Im the other way to most people. I tend to act alot more outgoing in real life than online.
I suppose its just because I know everyone offline and its much easier to have a laugh and a joke about wheras online I dont know everyone and it takes longer to get to know someone because you can't tell their personality from the way they type.
I act extremely differently online than in real life, I also act extremely differently at school than I do if im say.. out in town with my friends.
Yea I act differently online than I do in real life. Im shy in real life and wouldn't usually talk to a girl I like but if I have her MSN I will talk to her on the internet lol :P
i suppose im nicer irl aswell
im really cocky online cause i know nobody can touch me ... then again im really cocky in IRL cause i know nobody ( nobody im rude to ) can tocuh me :D:rolleyes:
I dont really, just say bigger words. Not often but sometimes :P
im way nicer in real life. and more shy. i feel way better about making fun of someone on here than for real lol.
I prefer to talk to people in person than online. On Facebook and forums I seem really arrogant and I hate using the "I" word so much...
Everybody acts different and says thing they normally wouldnt online becuase they dont have to face the consquences.
Example:
On xbox live, a little squeaky kid calling some black guy the n word. They would never do that irl becuase they would get beat up/killed.
Oh yeah. I don't talk about computers/games in real life and other stuff which I talk about online. :)
Erm i'm different online. I say stuff I wouldn't really say in real life. In real life i'm a really shy person.
nope i'm confrontational irl and on the forum lol
I think people do act different; i.e. Myself too.
Because over the internet people seem to have more confidence and they will tell you anything - if its good or bad - maybe try and argue with you.
The internet is a key to been big & Hard :D
Errmm ye lol im probs more louder irl tbhh but idkkkkkkkkkkkk :D x
im sure everyone does without noticing
I reckon EVERYONE is different online.
Cos there are some things you just wouldnt say irl cos you know you'd get a smack in the mouth yet if you type it, theres not really much people can do.
+people might be like ultra shy too, yet theres nothing scary about typing unless you have some strange computer fear.
yeah I think I do.
yes, i dont say "lol" "lmao" "hehe" "owned" "noob" "open bets" "rofl" in real life but i do online, those of you who said you're the same as both i assume you say these phrases irl too :S
I argue online. I argue in real life.
Do the rest yourself.
i have to tone down some of the stuff i say online because people can't see that your joking when in real life they can.
