odea, everyone hates paramore?

well basically, i've had 2 people (doesn't seem much out of the 100's of users that visit this forum) say that I'll get stick for having the name 'paramore' :S
guessing you don't like them here? :S

i think i'm quite a dedicated fan + i've liked them for over 2 years now so really, i hope i'm not a crowd follower. But look, why can you not like a band because they are too popular?

I love them. I've liked them since AWKIF.

In every single paramore thread you make your opinion well known about how paramore are "the worst band ever" and how Hayley is a "disgusting ginger". Its not just in this thread where he is asking for your opinion. In this thread you could have simply said that paramore arn't a good band but you have to post about how "they are the worst band ever and hayley is a disgusing ginger". You seriously act like a 11 year old, I bet you have no friends in real life because everyone finds you so immature. tbh, I used to like them before they hit the spotlight... When their music was more amateur. Now it just sounds like the rest of the crappy bands.

I loved All We Know is Falling, hated RIOT! but I like Decode.. and apparently their new album is going to be much heavier so I might like them again.

I don't like that they've based their band on Image.

I like some of their music, I think Hayley Williams is quite alright, and anyone who has a problem with that can go stick their head in a toaster.

Comments like these are partly why I dodge them. If fans feel like they have to mention that they've been fans for years and not just since their popularity, that proves nothing except that it's the kind of music people like just to be different. It's like with MCR when people say "their old stuff was great but I hate them now" - especially as MCRs old stuff is crap and their new stuff is better lol. Bands whose followers have something to prove put me off listening far more than bands who are popular through the mainstream tbh. If a band is popular it's probably because they're good, which isn't a reason to stop liking it

FJ, I agree with you on that sooooo much. But some bands do have bad albums, its like Panic at the Disco, they completely changed their style. They didn't sell out or anything, they just wanted to adapt to something new. Loads of people ripped them for it, but it's a pretty nice change to the usual rock you get. The 'long time followers' of PATD start ******** about how the new stuff is crap, and it's getting all the mainstream lovers liking it.

If you like a band, don't you support it through and through? :S
