Sorry, another dazzle thread by me :@
I was just thinking, £100 seems abit steep for a hobbie, so are there any decent cheaper Dazzle alternatives that work on a HD tv :) ?

It's a thingy to record wot ur tvs doin in this case gaming
Capture cards aren't cheap :(
It's about £60 for Dazzle, few dollars for the splitters, then you just need something extra since you've got a HD TV which is like £15 I think, it should be in your budget.
Alright, Im going to be using a HD Dazzle setup in a couple of days, hopefully in the morning I'll get a TV. Anyway you need the following
- [x2] Phono 1 into 2 Adapter
- [x2] Phono to Phono (AV to AV)
- Dazzle Platinum
- Computer
That will cost you about £70-80, most other recorders that let you play in HD and record in SD cost at least £100 for the device alone, then you gotta' pay £20 for the leads and splitters. Dazzle is the cheapest option for recoridng off a HDTV for 360/PS3/Wii.
Red dazzle I belive your talking about :P
there cheap but cant record on hd.
Yeah the bad side to the dazzle platinum setup is that you gotta play in SD.
I might just buy a HD capture card nao.
Anyone got a link to a capture card that allows me to play in HD while recording in SD?

Just get a card you can record in HD and play in HD :P
Where can I get one of those and what equipment do I need.
I'm not sure, www.halo3forum.com they all make montages and stuff so it's good to ask them because loads on their have various capture cards and such!
I cba registering, someone do it for +rep.
What was that thing your mate had Blackbox HD mind asking him where he got, what price and what equipment he needed
Which dazzle records HD agen?
No dazzle currently records HD.
The only device I know of is the Blacbox and that costs around £150.
The Dazzle Platinum (£70) allows video signal up to 480i which is basically Standard Def.
If you put your TV on to AV (HD Mode) and use the component cables it looks awful, n64 like.
You can put your TV on TV mode (SD Mode) and it looks like a normal tv quality.
Im just going to do it that way.
