my cousin n sis do.
Pretty boring, but depends on what part you work at.
Pays crap until your 18+
I work there, on the checkouts. Think I get £4.54 an hour, something like that :] Which isn't bad considering all I have to do is sit there and pass items through a till. It's also a nice place to work, the management and staff are really nice. You should apply.
I worked there for like two shifts. It was boring as, I always had to work in the cold section and it hurt my hands and most of the people were 10x my age.
But yeah, go for it.
thats where pretty much all teenagers start in melbourne, their local supermarket :)
I work at Morrisons, I'm 17 and get paid £5.09 p/h.
My mate works at Sainsbury's and he 'enjoys' it.
i'm 16. This would be my 4th job.
Apply regardless of what people say. Jobs are hard to get at the moment.
just rang sainsburys, they dont have any jobs! where else should i look at?
Asda seem to be taking on alot of people lately.
Our Asda only take 18+ or 17+ if you can work full time. My mate works in Sainsburys and loves it and never shuts up about it
I am sure KFC or mcdonalds will hire people??
Already worked at mcdonalds! hated it.
I hate it when people say they hate their job because it's boring but never try and do anything to make it fun. I work in Burger King for £4.65 an hour, it's a stressful job but we always make sure we have a laugh whilste working to make our shifts bareable.
I'm at Schuh, sure its small and it gets a wee bit borin goin for shoes, same ones all the time!! But talking to the customers make it more funn
And the fact im on £5.85 is a bonus.
I like my current job dont get me wrong.
Beggers can't be choosers! The ideal time for part time work is just before christmas but that seems to have passed now.
It may be a long few months!
its a full time job mate. not part time.
When you're under 18 they can pay you whatever you like. I wouldn't get out of bed for £4.54 an hour tbh, but I guess if you need the money go for it.
james, im currently on 3.75 lol
My friend has before and she said it was good and the pay was alright
Take any job you can, they're kinda hard to get these days. Having already had 3 jobs before you've turned 17 is kinda bad. It kind of makes me wonder if your even committed to a job, if you can't commit yourself to a job then no one is going to employ you.
I'm at Tesco for £5.45 an hour, £8.18 on Sundays, goes up to £6.50/£9.75 when I turn 18 in May and to be fair, it's an amazing job - awesome people, good management, I get dumped with running the department on Sundays but it's all good practice like. Ours is quite a small store so it's really hard to get jobs but it's really tight and everyone knows each other so I can't really say what it'd be like at a bigger store.
If you got a Somerfield near ya, gaurenteed pay of £5.73, good wage for a 16 y/o.
But they do their payment on positions, not age. So don't stick around much after 18 unless you wanna go higher!
I wouldn't work for £3.75/hr.
Work at Schuh, £6.08 for under 18's :)
