Nothing has CONFIRMED that it will even be the next metal gear solid (looking at the source code of the website it does have a tag as "MGS" but this could easily be because konami knows that when people look for this website using google or w.e they will be looking for a website that is MGS related as it is konami's biggest franchise of the moment
There is no mention of it being a game that will be on the sony platform only

I bet it's Zone of Enders and Kojima is just toying with us all.
Look the fact is MGS4 was 37Gb and Kojima always try to outdo the last mgs, also bringing it to the 360 in the current story arc would be stupid as nobody would have any idea about the recurring plot themes etc...Quote:

It does look like a 5 however the creator of Metal Gear Solid mentioned that number 4 was the last. I'm guessing either he's changed his mind or the production company (Konami) is continuing it without his guidance. If it is it will be no-where near as good.
MGS4 filled a bloody 50GB disc with stupid amounts of compression hence installing everything onto the drive.

Didn't they say MGS4 was the last one, I haven't played the game but didn't Snake die or something? So I'd be suprised if they did make a MGS5.
they could just do like lost oddessy and ship with multiple disks and like a coupon for a half price 120gb hdd and then you install the 2nd disc and so on onto that and just run off the 1 disc and hdd :)
Snake didn't die, he attempted suicide though (if I remember right).
Also it doesn't have to be based on him. Lots of games change their character you play.

1. If MGS went multiplatform it would get ruined i think imo. plus i lose another reason for buying a Ps3
2. Kojima said this would be the last game involving Solid but they could do more with Naked like MGS3
3. It would be good if they remade Metal Gear Or MGS. But i wouldnt mind a new MG? maybe follow Raiden or someone else.

Just to add information: The countdown timer reset. It now flashes an E and a 3 (obv lol) and it's counting down to like 2am on wednesday morning

Hmmm. It now flashes an image of Naked Snake (Big Boss) who was the protagonist in MGS3
A "P" an "S" and a "3" also an "E" and an "R" The P S and 3 flashes in succession, as do the 3 and 5(?) which makes me think the plots og MGS3 and 5 are linked. The R also is muc brighter than the other images.
I hate Kojima, he f's with your head wayyyyy too much.

The thing is though they've rotated loads of them around which seems a bit silly to me. A lot of them are assumed like the "R" to mean Raiden, I know he appears in it but the R may be something different. The O could mean oxide like the rumours say or the PO could mean Portable Ops as has just been confirmed for the PSP. I doubt this is all over the just confirmed portable ops but you never know.
