Black Wii Incoming

I'm sure many of you remember the various Wii colours that were initially shown and failed to materialise. Today at a press conference Nintendo has announced that a black wii is coming, or to Japan atleast. It will be launched on August 1st for the same price as the white wii. Nintendo representatives say there is currently no announced plans to release it in Europe. Enjoy:

It looks nice. I prefer the white one though.

And a Classic Controller too? :D That might be useful for people who like to play the classic games or Wii games without the Wii Remote or the Classic Controller dangling off of one.

Looks like the classic controller pro is still attatched to the Wiimote though, nice that they're sporting Monster Hunter there. :P

Might buy a new Wii if this is released.

Same. Damn my wii looks horrible in my room. My rooms got 2 purple walls and dark furnishing so its quite dark and the wii totally ruins the awesomness ;[

Errr....companies always do this. Xbox released the "Xbox crystal" and Nintendo released different colours of the original DS such as Blue and Pink. They all sold well.

i wouldnt buy another wii just because of the colour, it was alright until no decent games came out.

The controller isn't bad :P I definitely prefer my White Wii rather than the Black.

The black one was the one they originally used to show and what people expected it to be released as. They obviously opted for white in the end.

That was one of Nintendo's code names... The Gamecube was called Dolphin :)

I don't own one and may get a black one if released here. ;)
