No, people are just spreading rumours about the fancheck crap, it's not a virus.
But yeah, FB looks like it's having issues, I've got pratically no status updates - either that or everyone I know has either gave up FB or died ;/

it happened to me last night, logged on this morning + it was all cool, but now it's just gone.
didn't think it was that fan check thing, i just googled to see if there was like a facebook announcement or anything, and came across loads of things.
yeh lol, its just got things on from the weekend, annoying tbh, but oh well, i can live without it for a day. any longer and.. well, :'(
Er, to see up to date status', go the left of the page and click "Status Updates" - should work.
