when was the last time you researched your facts and stats? oh...
i highly doubt that. you don't seem to understand that britain became de-industrialised during the 60's to the 80's as a direct result of foreign competition. goods were cheaper due to foreign workers being paid less, enabling people to get more products for their money. foreign workers were exploited, and companies were left with more profit, thus the expansion of companies into the asian area. in the 60's, manufacturing accounted for 30% of london's wealth, by 1990 it had been reduced to 11%.
now you tell me i don't know my facts?
all topmans clothes are from asia
i remember looking at my 100euo jacket and crying cus it said made in Thailand LOL
yayy everything half price?

i like some stuff in topman, i dont buy everything from there, depends what your after rlyyyyyy... i like riverisland, new look tooo
This is infact false. Some companies in the UK still design and create their clothes in the UK. Stedman Ltd is an example, though she does admittedly outsource to other countries to produce her/their products, she does have some areas in the UK where she produces them too. Another example is Frank & Faith Ethical Fashion, which design and produce clothes in the Great Britain, their name suggests why :P
Quite alot of knitted clothes are as well, I think, because exporting the type of wool used would cost more for the company to produce when outsourced, so producing the jumpers in the UK would be cheaper.
*swings Business course materials around and leaves the room* :P
But mass-produced stuff e.g. clothes by and from Topman/Topshop are typical outsourced though arguably the quality is hugely effected. But then again, fashion was never about quality which is why some "fashonistas" are considered idiots and stupid, because they "look" rediculous/ Same for ones that buy super expensive clothes just for a label. There's no middle ground :P
luv u gomme!!!
Thanks for coming up with the goods, umm gr8 news to keep on topic xxx
