Well.. I dont know really.. Mines out of warranty, And i dont play on it much and every game (my friends) played on WASNT fake.
And i've had ghostbusters for.. Months.. and not been banned yet. But.. I'll just buy a cheap xbox if mine gets banned..

They run tests every 3months, november supposedly when they patch it and ban
They've banned today its all over xbox360ISO. UK havent been hit yet.
They don't 'patch' the firmware. They can't modify the firmware from their end, it has to be plugged into a PC. All they can do is console ban you which happens ONCE maybe TWICE a year.

Mines flashed, I survived there last batch of banhammers, simple really, if you know when the firmware is coming out, disconnect your wifi arial from your 360. Then wait and see what people are saying on the forums that are in the know. If you haven't played the copied games before they have been released then you have nothing to worry about (I know I haven't, because I'm not that stupid that I'd player games before they were released).
EDIT; Dad just told me they have started banning people in the USA today, from 5am this morning.
The firmware has nothing to do with getting banned (in principle) - it's bad rips etc which are stored over time and you are then flagged by Microsoft for the next wave. Disconnecting your wireless adapter/ethernet does nothing as whatever you do is stored on the internal NAND anyway.Quote:

I played none games early, all games been stealth and verified. However i have been reported a few times for modding gta but i have more of a good rep than bad. So i should be fine? But hay, who knows, this is Microsoft after all.
People who haven't played games before they have been released SHOULD be fine, the emphasis on SHOULD.

No problem for me, I just got the RROD so no chance of even flashing, modding, playing games, watching movies etc for a month.
Oh well, off to my PS3 I go :P
