I know this forum is generally about dating relationships. I did think about where to put this thread before deciding here, move if needed. Anyway, so yeah basically who are you closer to in your family, your mum or dad and why?

my mum and always will be.
When they were both alive, I guess it was my mum but then again there's loads of stuff I'd do or only bother discussing with my dad so equal tbh.
Used to be my mum untill my dad found out that she had a 2 year relationship with my friends dad so ye I havnt spoken to my mum since feb so all my trust etc in her has gone. My dad has opened up to me alot more in the past year and so have I so I feel more comfortable and close to him than ever :D
Used to be my Mum, but shes always annoyed with me these days so my Dad now.
Most certainly my mother. I don't see my dad often and I get on incredibly well with her.
My mum. I'm not even that close to her but I never see my dad.
I live with my Dad and see my Mum like monthly or whatever. Yet, I'm still dead close to both of them with different things. I'd much rather talk to my mum about relationships etc yet my Dad is just generally awesome and I love them both loads. I guess my Dad would know more because he's lived with me all my life yet my Mum moved away like 7 years ago or whatevz. Loving Immensemum and Immensedad for like though.

deffo my mum, ive been clubbing with her, been on holiday with her, went shopping with her loads and she almost driven up to see me when i broke with my ex, thats a 3 hour drive, just to make me feel better :']
but then my dad forced her to stay xD but ye my dads sound as a pound too, but i get on with my mum like my bezzie.
same i get along equally.

None, they both do my head in >.< they both come to me moan about each other and its just erghh can't wait to get a place of my own :)
My mum, I don't really have a relationship with my dad, never have done to be honest. We're still a family and everything but I suppose it's because he used to work nights?

dad lives 400or something miles away so yeah. only see him once a year, phone call on birthdays & xmas and that's it
plus my mum told me like everything about him when they divorced so i didn't like him even more :)
I wouldn't decide between either. There both annoying at the same time, and can both be nice at the same times. So I can't really decide.

I probably talk to my Mom more, but me and my Dad have similar interests, like Skiing and stuff. :)
Mum, deffo. My Dad rly does my head in.
It's hard for me to say because I've lived with my dad for the last fourteen years and only see my mum for two days every fortnight. Because of this I've probably developed a stronger bond with my dad, but I wouldn't like to choose between them. They're both my parents and thats all that matters to me.
Dad definately.
My dad is a gamer :D he rides a motorbike, has a great sense of humour and is very caring! Listens to everything and offers great advice.
My mum on the other hand, overly religious + scary, everything HAS to be perfect, she has moods swings and acts like a 5 year old, i can't discuss problems with her cos she wonders off..

When I saw this thread for some reason I thought of the brother in "little miss sunshine" (yes everyone should go and see it because it is a classic film)
Erm I have the worst arguments ever with my mum, but she's really lovely and gives great advice and my dad is good at listening without interrupting (probs because he's not really taking in/understanding anything i'm saying).
My mum is strange and my dad is stranger. Bless 'em both xoxo
Like i used to be closer to my dad when he was around cause im so much more like him than my mum.
But yeah i am sort of close to my mum.
My mum and dad have divorced and my mum has provided me with everything a girl could want. She is certainly the best.

Although, back when I was a few years younger, I distinctly remember liking my mom better because I could usually get away with more things with her. :P Now it doesn't matter as much since I'm not living at home and can't really get in trouble for stuff, so I like my dad a lot better.

My dad when it's just me and him and my mum when she's in a good mood. both have their good points blates.
