Security in England is insane.

OK well i was in manchester today for my mates b-day. We got on the shuttle bus (A Free bus) and we had to wait 10 mins to get on because he had to inspect the bus for bombs :S

Then we got stopped at the train station by a few police checking our bags. And luckily missed a group of police checking everyone coming off the Metro.

I know its all for safety measures, but this makes me really insecure. The constant sirens of police vans going past didnt help. Is youre city mad with security? And what is it like?

I live in scotland and use buses n stuff every second day. There are signs up saying that our bags will get checked and I always have a warhammer case and a bag with me (same with my brother) but we have never been checked......

Technically without the Security there would be more problems than there are now.

As i said im not complaining in that way, im complaining in the way, our privacy is ruined because of people checking our stuff. It just makes me feel insecure.

I wouldn't say that your privacy is being invaded. They're only looking for anything explosive, they're not going to laugh if you have something strange in your bag.

I much prefer heightened security; it makes me feel safe :)

How about the fact that the bus gets checked just as youre going on? Gives a feel of insecurity, they didnt even check the train...

Actaly, this whole thread is one of terriosms point, key word is terror, to scare a population and stop them going about there lifes normal. The massive police forces are a result of the fear caused, and the question is, would u rather have a load of police, or run the risk of being blown up "/

Its still not proving anything... why upset so many people? Why put youreself in danger to make others unhappy? Its pointless and a waste of a life.

Most of these terrorists go uni and stuff.
