BLOODY THEIVING IDIOTS.
LOL recession has hit then hardd.
and i think tax has gone back up to 17.5% now.
but the home phone is 40 credits for £2.95.
Not the smartest move by Sulake I guess. :S
What a bloody scam!
They've pretty cleverly got 40 credits for 5p cheaper by homephone (20 more for 5p less) but 11 year olds having fits over this BARGAIN will phone in about 500 times racking their phone bill so high.
It may say it's less but it actually costs like £2+ on your phone bill ontop of the normal price lol
having a texting service costs a lot more than having a phone service. thus the cheaper price. Theyre probably doing it so parents know that they are buying credits tbh lol
Seems a bit odd putting the Cost of getting credits via Text a lot higher than phone. However I guess the text service costs them more to run or something.
Bad move I guess, not so many people will purchase them now surely?
I stopped buying credits a looong time ago luckily! :D
rip off.
always was
always will be.
i remember in 05 it was 100 credits for £3 for Home Phone for one week. good times.
Didn't it used to be 10p = 1 credit in 2004/2005 and 2006ish?
Im confused, I just bought some and I still got 35 lol :S
Maybe they haven't fully implemented the change yet then. Grab 'em while you can xD
Time to get a credit card little kiddies!
Well I suppose they see the fact people buy their creds and the more they do, the more they can charge. I respect them as a business but their customer service is just revolting most times.
I doubt also it has ANYTHING to do with VAT due to the fact that was 17.5% till December 2008 anyway and that 35 credit thing was around well before that.
Im sure back in 08 when i had a random urge to play for a few months, it was £3.50 for 35 , i dont know how sulake would be making any more profit, they could do 40 for £3.50 and make more due to more people buying them for extra 5 credz ;)
It costs nothing for Habbo to give you credits so the recession hasnt hit them, obviously or they wouldnt be giving the customer less for their money if they wanted to get more money they would have put it up to 45 per £3. Also, VAT has gone/is going to 17.5% again but that tax deduction didnt effect the value of credits/cost when buying, all it meant was sulake paid 2.5% less business tax, to help them and ever other business through the recession by not paying that tax.
But still, stupid move.
who buys credits anways
wow 11 year olds will actually have to tell their parents they're buying creds :O
not really a rip off
just use home phone? :S
I think thats a great deal!
I think it's safe to say that Habbo has always been a rip off, and will always be a rip off. You're not really paying for anything, are you?
who buys credits anyway
It's probably because Ludus is giving away so much Furni all the time, don't need credits as much :P.
skamma sulake. they are theiving us
yeah and i thought that may be slightly harsh but it's rediculous what they ask these days there is such a thing as putting the price up too much so that people won't buy them.
They need to remember their target audience is kids who spend their pocket money on it ;l
what a load of **** it was a rip off before anyway
they should just give us credits for 99p for 1000
it cost them ******* nothing to give them out :@
You have only figured out now that the prices of credits are a rip off?
The prices of habbo credits were always a rip off and in my opinion always will be, you pay £8 for 100 credits lol. You can buy a throne off ebay for £10, not that anyone should as that's illegal .
An odd move in my eyes, I always thought 35 credits should have been increased to 40, and homephone to 45. :L
EDIT: You can now buy 12 for £1.50.
EDOT: I just bought 12 with some credit off an old sim but it gave me 15. :SQuote:

25 might be 30. :D
It's now gone down to £10 for 80 creds if you buy via credit card (non monthly). Which seems rubbish to me, 80 creds isn't going to get you anywhere on habbo anymore. You might aswell just not bother. I'm not one of those idiots that think it should all be free etc, but surely a slightly more decent rate would have a lot more of us buying them. I'm not saying wreck the habbo economy with 200 for £10 though. 100 for £10 used to be decent enough. I haven't bought any for a good few years and if it carries on like this I probably won't ever again.
I do not see the problem. I mean you get less credits, but less credits will eventually be in circulation - meaning the value will turn out similar. Mind you with marketplace, and credits going down to 10c per hc, now you can only get 5hc per £6 (obviously you can buy furni elsewhere cough).
What a rip off :/
Habbo are basically getting greedy now tbh. Obviously not making as much money as they use to.
What the hell? This sucks. I havent got any credits in a long time anyway, Im quite happy with the stuff I have and Im not one of these rare collecting people. But its still stupid.
LOL thats like quite a bad increase, but people will buy them anyway.
Is it me or has anyone else noticed they've timed this with the Marketplace?
Soooo.... credits should go up in value if anything which makes them more useful and thus colliding with space and time and dimension FLAGBLAGERTY!
You see? Genius.
