meh i can see why it was rejected but tbh it aint aimed at 2 year olds
I don't see why it was rejected. If it was show after 8pm it would be fine, at least it hits all the spots. Most bullying victims do keep their mouth closed, so their lips may aswell be sewn together.
theres no easy way to address the reality of bullying but that was kinda creepy
I thought it was gonna show her actually sewing stuff into herself or something, that's pretty tame really compared to the drink drive adverts
Meh, its gets the message across. It's about time they stop wrapping kids up in cotton wool.
social action media gone mental... Yes showing pictures of the diseased heart of tab boxes is k to scare 18+ year olds... But using the scaring technique on the bullies is just stupid, use the guilt technique. @_@
the sewing is used as a metaphor to say she won't speak about it...
If it wasn't intended to scare they could have used tape, or stuff a sock on it, but they sewed the lips.
I don't think that will have a guilt affect on a bully, it doesn't nail the point seriously, How abouts an advert were it shows a girl really happy with her friends walking home, she says cya, bumps into bullies gets a load of mumbled stick off them then totally changes personality goes in her house and refuses to speak about it to family. I think that would make you feel guilty if you shot it the right way.
That was really creepy!
because thats all it would be? it would show the effect of the bully, not the idiotic point of a 50 year old who has never seen it happens idea.
Its, slow, the first 15 seconds or so are pointless, And a advert showing a person ruining a life, i'd dare say that would put more effect on it.
The point isn't to make bullies feel guilty watching it, it's to make the victims speak out.
but the point is to straight, its like my teacher said the other day, most social action adverts make you want to turn over, not want to take action. And i think this is one of them.
That's pretty freaky, but an effective way of getting the point they were trying to make across.
Has anyone else found themselves pouting their lips every now and then since watching this? :P
Woah, I wasn't expecting the mouth to be all sewn up... :S
It was creepy for me, but it gets the message across
Feel sorry for the actor.. that has gotta hurt :eusa_whis
How is that 3 seconds of lip worse than watching a girl reconnect her wrist bone?
Yeah the one of the dead girl creeps me out and so does the ginger kid who appears in that drink driver guy's life all the time.
but both of them are aimed at over 18's...
this one is aimed below. So different rules come into matter.
I was expecting it to be way worse than that.
The one with the girl in the road is way worse
but if they're aimed at children with those problems, i think they'd find it more disturbing than a ignorant adult who goes "omg, heart disease? must smoke 1 less packet a day then"
