It's a good idea where the child doesn't have a computer to work at home with. I know one lad in my college group got one of these laptops for college work, I don't know why though. He already has a home computer he just needed Microsoft Office but gave him a laptop instead. :S
What an awful idea... You don't need a laptop to do your work...... Jesus christ what is this world coming to.
why does a 7 yr old need a laptop...
it's only for yrs 3-9 :S ;l
I'ma getting one anyway kk ;l
;o i want one!
its ******* going to ma mum ungrateful ..
thats kinda **** in all fairness not cos im jelous but bcos its obv gonna be ur tax money but like do u honestly think ppl will use it more for school or HABBOX ;l
Its for school years 3 to 9. Not people aged 3 to 9 :P
Damn Im in Year10 and I want it :( I already got 2 laptops and a PC but i want another one :P
What a stupid idea. If anything it's the years above the ones given that need it I'd say. This is how bad Labour is, the country's in debt, just out of a recession and they're giving away computers. Saying that, it's an English thing only I think..
They finally started?!
My school give laptops and broadband to all students who need it. Ask for Dreamweaver and they'll give it.
Love cash injections (:
You know what I can't stand? Means tested things. EMA, this stuff, everything. My mum has barely helped me buy anything like that, I've had to buy all my own pens, paper, computers, retakes, UCAS application, driving lessons which eats up the little money I earn and people with parents on low income get £30 a week for doing absolutely nothing except turning up to a place they were going to go anyway, and now the younger ones get free computers too.
YES I'M BITTER!
75% off?! Come on that's just stupid. Send an angry face to your school from me :@
Middle classes are penalised. The worst is university, I'm applying this year. My friend get's overall £12,000 per year (Grants and loans, mainly grants), I get nothing but a big fat loan. The problem is they assume that your parents will pay for you and this is often not the case.
From Year 3 onwards? Come on do you really need a laptop to do work in Primary School? Surely that's the period you should really be working on your handwriting.
128mb Ram.
woop woop.
There's a thread already posted on this.
What drives me nuts is that it's only available to kids aged 3 - 9? What the ****? Hardly anyone at that age will know how to use a computer properly this will = Trojans, virus's ect. Waste of money, waste of ******* money.
My mum is working yet, she gets less than 11,000 a year, just because you're working not matter how many hours/how much you get paid the pigs think your rich.
dam the people who are on Benefits - Lazy ********s yet another reason why many choose to stay on Benefits to bloody easy for them.
They don't think about these things and the reason why they did it was for the upcoming election - I hope they lose a lot of seats, :@
