I know how to do it not in the Habboclient... you install the code type (like ASCii/UNI code etc) then use Altcode (Alt+Numpad-keys) or assign your existing keys to the characters...
Erm... I'dassume it wouldn't work in the client because Habbo drew their own characters (like the skull etc) although... then again... everything that isn't a picture is left alone (and thus shows up as what every Habbo-font decides it should look like)... hmm... I've never seen it does outside the Japanese, Russian and Chinese hotels though.

I don't think you can I haven't seen anyone do it. Maybe you just can't :)
The feature was only available on habbo.cn which closed in 2007 because it was bankrupt and because of the challenging Chinese market and high operational costs
Depends what language the hotel is set in, and if you set your own language (somehow?), it'd only be serverside.

EDIT: Oh... that's weord, they've removed them... but yeah, these links use to work.... guess they have new ones now! O_O
You can find the Voltar font at pretty much any fonts website and the symbols are just characters that are part of it. I'm only guessing it was a font in its own right before Sulake used it because of how it's so readily available along with all the other fonts. Could be wrong though
