I regret taking media studies 100%
I regret taking graphics at A-Level. Having done no Art at GCSE I feel at an extreme disadvantage regarding just basic art techniques. I should've done photography, I'm good at photography.
Yes, many many times.
i regret taking electronics and business studies at GCSE, i only passed because of double award english, double award it and maths... i really ******* scraped it.
Economics AS. Utter failure at that and came out with a U.. embarassing too.
ICT Double Award, waste of time, the tasks are completely laborious and the teacher knows less than everyone in the class so no one's learning :S
Btech Business... I know i'm going to fail it, shame we don't have a decent enough teacher to properly teach us. Also geography because i dont enjoy the subject I really don't know why i took it. But everything else i am passing and enjoy so meh...
I regret taking Philosophy because it's really hard, I'm actually quite concerned about getting the grades for uni purely because of philosophy, whereas if i'd taken Sociology or History I'd be a bit more certain that I'd get the grades.
I regretted taking Maths A level and BTEC Business because the teachers were really rubbish, and never explained anything properly, they just expected us to instantly understand everything they said. So in the end I dropped both subjects and then had to drop out of sixth form because I wasnt taking 4 courses, so my life is now doomed :(
Regretted psychology, completely ****.
Yes. GNVQ ICT when I was at secondary school. Biggest waste of time for a worthless qualification ever.
Higher English, shame it's so damn important. Last year I regretted taking Drama, I despised that subject.
Yes God Yes.
English AS. MASSIVe mistake, i hate it, and im doing ****. averaging C when im averaging A-A*s in my other As courses
English AS dear god help me.
I should've taken Computing instead of that.
DT for GCSE. I'm really not good at it and would have done much better at geography.
Art at higher. :/
It's just boring, you don't learn any new skills. Rather, you just rely on your natural abilities which is fine because I'm decent at art but you aren't taught. Even though I've improved I reckon it's more to do with practice rather than anything anyone's told me, practice I could have done at home. Also the course is huge.
Btw standard grade art is an absolute joke, anyone with half a brain can get an A band 1 with ease.
Btec Business and Dida ICT (well technically I chose Cida but they ****** us over and changed to Dida coz the teachers suck). Thats over half my options as business took 2 spaces so 3/4 of my options i feel are wasted. I only like seperate science.
GCSE BTEC Science - The school 'sold' the course for something it wasn't, I asked to change course to a regular science and they wouldn't let me even though it was only a week and half into the school year, also meant I couldn't take science at a level or university which is something I wanted to do. Something else they failed to mention.
GCSE Applied Business - The way the course works is you have an exam in january, and the one in june is a resit you get the highest mark out of the two. the one in january i got a c, which i was happy with because i was told by my teachers that the coursework would bring my final grade to a BB. When I opened my results DD.
GCSE German - nuff said.
ALevel BTEC Performing arts - Again the course was sold to be something it wasn't. It's boring & only took it because I wanted to take Human Biology and Chemistry but because of the btec science they wouldn't let me unless i retook gcses in science.
i really messed up my education, and im at the point now were it annoys me and i cba to do any of the work in sixth form now because i don't enjoy my courses! =\
Didn't Intended on writing an epic essay!
but I'd strongly reccomend people NOT to do btec science :\ LOL!
i picked media.
i hate it.
i might leave college.
do full time work.
do police training at 20.
be a PCSO (if necessary)
be a Police Officer (H)
someone tell me if that sounds okay?
you know.. leaving college.
RE a level, would have much rather have gone for PE
I regretted doing a BTEC last year, which is why i switched to A levels after a year, hopefully i can get a decent career i'll be happy in after all this education.
I did Graphic Products at GCSE which I loved so when I took something similar at A-Level, I didn't realise how much emphasis there would be on the manufacturing side of things - especially theory. So I only did that (badly) at AS.
At uni I kind of regret taking my course. I do Business and Psychology combined purely because I didn't really know what I wanted to do but felt that I had to pick something I was already familiar with. I didn't realise how many people venture into something completely alien to them and thus the whole first year of my course was pretty much a repeat of my A-Levels. Would have taken something mad like Philosophy or something if I'd realised.
yea media is just a waste of time. Like i sit there for 2.5hrs doing practical on the macs and i spend my time just messing around. The theory is just as boring.
dropping at the end of this yr though. im gonna be picking up accounting to balance it out.
yes i regret takin ICT sooo much LOL :(
I did it for a silly reason, well partly was cause it was a good qualification and the other part was to impress someone lmao
Maybe A-level Art & Design.
Too much coursework! No time to do it.
