just bought my first flat. seems a bit surreal that ill be moving out within a month. ;o
how old are you? Did you buy it or rent it from someone? How much did it cost?
im 20. i have bought it with a partner, his mam acting as garauntor. its 310 for the first 2 years the it drops to 220 p/m. and the flat is 50k
Oh wow, thats... a lot (thats what, 80k+ AUD?
But very nice :)! I'm so glad I don't need a garauntor for my bike loan, and hopefully when I pay it all off I can head onto buying a house or summit.
Oh cool. Quite a good price I think?
Don't know how I'm gonna manage 'moving out' come October and uni. Good luck tho!
:eusa_danc Congrats
Good luck, you'll need it.
im at uni at the minute, and weve saved about 10k from last year so its around a 40k mortgage. I guess it seems logiccal to be paying for my own mortgage rather than someone elses.
wow nicee ! :)
post some pics
will be nice to be independant i guessss

Its a bit outdated in places but its clean and thats all that matter right now. I guess its something to work on and keep me occupied :)
@ above
NICE PLACEEE!! :)
thanks! its around the nicest place i found for the price. Every other ones i looked at where trashhhed.
Thats really nice! I like it! Grats!! :D
those sofas and the rug makes me think of an old grannies living room :P
do you have a cat or puppy or something with those newspapers on the floor?
wow jealous tbh, a bit of work needs doing on it but that could be fun for you to do :P. is the 'partner' your actual partner or just a friend? :)
i'll +rep you when uncautioned
nicee, good luck with moving out and things :D wish i could :(
thanks. And yea, hes my bf. been going out for about 2 and a half year.its a pretty sound relationship. Infact we didnt even realise we could get a mortgage at first because were both on part time jobs. but apparently it goes off the garauntor's wages. :-) i just need to find 700 for solicitor fees now :S
I have been looking for a house since september for school next year. Not going well lol.
how much dya think it'll set you back per month incl. bills and tax?
Yeahh Jealouss too :P btw what area is this flat in coz 50k :O im 16 and i wanan save now coz you flat ownss lol, yeahh what area is it coz flats in london are like 80k+
Its in the north-east. And the mortgage payment is around 295 per month, however including bills your looking at around 550. pm. This includes maintenance which is like 500-1k a year, which pays for the concierge and the upkeep of the building. Its all sorted now, just waiting for it to be processed by the solicitors. :-)
I never knew you could get a flat in this day and age for 50k.. unless it's COMPLETELY run down and immense work needs to be carried out.
Are you sure it's not part buy part rent...? I'm absolutely astonish by the price.
Nice little crib you got there. Bit outdated in the kitchen, bathroom a little.. but with a few quid, you'd be surprised what it could do to any place.
Wow! That looks a really nice place, well the worth the money. I'm slightly jealous!
Great crib :)
Are they diggers I can see through the window?
it just depends what area you live in. And yea, the diggers are building the foundations for the new tyne tunnel
