Gary Jules, probably because I heard it first and am more used to it. Although I think the Tears for Frears' one is a little bit too fast.

Note that Tears for Fears' is the ONLY true vision of the song. Jules' is just an interpretation.

Doesn't matter if he was a one hit wonder. His interpretation was pretty good and wasn't necessarily aimed at the same demographic. Anyway the Tears for Fears guys did well on songwriting royalties from it and it renewed interest in the band. But you assume just because we're young we haven't heard the Tears for Fears version? Where as they might have and do just prefer Gary Jules'..
Just to clear things up, the argument about the two songs originated in a different thread which is why people are getting the wrong end of the stick as this thread has taken it out of context (and was only created to fuel the argument anyway). It essentially revolves around Adamm's problem with Misawa for supposedly not allowing him to express his own opinion while ironically belittling Misawa's opinion in the process. Just a vicious circle :P
