[telegraph] UKIP Politician Suspended For Making Sex Game Films

Quote:

Rob Ager was chairman of UKIP's Liverpool branch until party chiefs found out about his films, which include scenes of bondage, incarceration and flagellation.
One of Mr Ager's films, called The Sex Game, features a half-naked man being whipped and abused by a "dominatrix".

UKIP still continue to shoot themselves in the foot with odd characters in their ranks. When will they become seriously electable and will this affect their GE campaign - or will it barely hit the news due to PMQs today and G Brown being heckled whilst getting into a car?

and i realise i wrote Political and not Politician.

I should join my local UKIP branch, they sound like they get up to quite a lot. :P

As for UKIP seriously, good for suspending them. A party cannot control the personal lives of its members and no party will ever be free from scandals such as this, we had Liberal Democrats being caught with rent boys did we not and Labour affairs, same with Tories. Good on the party for acting quickly though, if they hadn't of acted swiftly then you may of had a point.

I edited the title for you.

To be fair, everyone has a sex life, even politicians. Heck if he has some weird fetish like this one, let him have it. I don't like UKIP, and obviously the tea-drinking liberals at The Guardian are going to make out that it is awful that a right-wing politician behave in such a manner, but at the end of the day I don't think we should rally against an individual or an organisation because of their sexual fantasies or desires.

Edit: I apologise for not reading the article, which maybe led to some misconceptions. I didn't read the bit about torture and death... maybe that is a bit too far. But for general sexual desires, my above point still stands. I draw the line at torture and death though :P.

None of our business and I don't see a problem with it. Hey it might not be my cup of tea but what he does in his private time is just that, private.

Now onto real UKIP scandals:

The party has suspended any members/party officals who have behaved in a bad manner, what more would you like them to do? - As for sex and politics, the Liberal Democrats alex also recently chose a porn director to stand as an election candidate.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...candidate.html

Quote:

So far, she has been a staunch advocate of all things blue. The first woman in Britain to direct adult films revealed yesterday, however, that her political colours are of a different hue. Anna Arrowsmith, hailed in some quarters as a champion of 'female-friendly porn', has been chosen as a Liberal Democrat candidate in the General Election.

Explaining why she wanted to be an MP, the 38-year-old - whose films include Where's The Rent Boys? (sic) - said she was 'disgusted' by the MPs' expenses scandal and believes women are under-represented in Parliament. Mrs Arrowsmith, who is fighting Tory Adam Holloway's seat of Gravesham in Kent, said: 'I am not a professional politician, I have worked all my life to set up a successful business and I want to fight for the rights of people in Gravesham.' A quick glance through the titles of her 300 or so films may suggest she has used them to address some of the major challenges facing Britain today. Hug A Hoodie, for example, could pass as a David Cameron sound bite about disaffected youths. And another - its title unsuitable for a family newspaper - tackles the frustrations of buxom matrons in the NHS.

I don't see the problems with having a porn director as an MP. It's all legitimate... and "Where's the Rent Boys?" sounds quite fun.

Watch them, in one of them the guy says he recently had a conversation with Farage about it and he was happy with it and this is about illegal donations! Looks like you'll be leaving UKIP pretty soon.

Perhaps you should read what I said? I have no problem what people do in their private lives.

The donations were not illegal and that is fact. Do not twist the truth. As for the second part, I do not either and I was addressing alex, hence why I wrote 'alex' and not 'FlyDuo'. :)

So you are saying that donations do not have to be declared?

The donations which remain anoyomous can be passed to Lord Pearsons company which I believe is called Global Britain, as Lord Pearson himself said in the undercover interview 'its not worth risking it' and he didnt risk it, UKIP remained within the law at all times and within the rules set by the commission. If they had acted outside the law, it would be investigated and the BBC and so forth would jump on it.

They have found a loophole which technically doesn't make it illegal but is not in the spirit of the rule, really. I am sure the hole will be plugged pretty quick.

yeah but from what i can tell, the films the libdem woman was in didn't have some odd fetishes in and i'm sure the party knew full well. UKIP, it appears, didn't know about this when he was appointed. Plus the libdems have a larger voter base than UKIP and as a party on the rise, it doesn't do them any favours when a more senior member is seen to make some films in questionable taste at least semi-commercially.

Well I doubt hes going to tell them he makes torture sex videos is he - hardly the fault of the party for not being able to read into his sex life.

This surely makes him a prime candidate :o I bet the 3 main parties are are already trying to poach him for themselves.

As for the Lib Dem woman I dont see how you can say shes any better than this guy :o She likes directing all the gang bangs etc and this guy likes his own fetishes.

I think most people have more than 1 skeleton in their closets and I imagine many more scandals will come out over the next month.

If UKIP is the real opposition then Labour and Tories have a very easy opposition

No that is not a slogan that is likely to produce any fruit this year :P Under estimate the Lib Dems at your peril I say to both Labour and Conservatives. Nick Clegg is coming over as the most believable and non plastic leader at the moment with quite an attractive 'you will pay no tax under £10,000 option. They will get much more time with the 3 leaders debates as well.

The FPTP system will not allow the Liberal Democrats or UKIP or indeed any other party to make any real gain. A party like UKIP under this system could gain 10% of the vote yet end up with no representation in parliament, thats the way it works and its totally wrong and its also why parties such as UKIP lose support in the General Elections because people know that under the FPTP system, the vote struggles to make a difference. The Liberal Democrats as a party gather most support because if you live in an area such as mine, many vote Liberal Democrat to keep Labour out, infact on the point about Clegg I think the Liberal Democrats are expected to lose a lot of seats in this election to the Conservatives as the vote swings back to them.

Indeed so as I said it is not likely to produce any fruit this year :P

He comes off worse everytime I've seen him. Before the election was announced you didn't see much of him but now the BBC seem to focus most their coverage on him and it's not impressive. I would rather vote Labour than Lib Dem now, Labour know their policies and know what they want to do at least. I don't like many of Labour's policies (House of Lords policies are very impressive though) but I do believe Lib Dems are a complete disaster, Nick Clegg doesn't know his policies or anyone else's, Lib Dem policies don't make any sense either, they're all over the shop and it's very unclear what any of them are. The few I have heard are financially unviable and I don't like his attitude at all. He's also a terrible speaker, Gordon Brown isn't great but then again he doesn't try to do speeches, Clegg is continually stuttering and pausing to process the question and his answer during his "speeches".

Well each to his/her own opinion, Jordy. We will see who has to eat humble pie on this one after the election. :P :D
