Two Pakistani men branded a threat to national security by a judge, today won the right to stay in the country.
Al-Qaeda operative Abid Naseer, 24, and Ahmad Faraz Khan, 26, should not be deported back to their homeland because of the risk to their safety, the same immigration judge ruled.

More to the point, if they're Al Qaeda operatives or even a threat to National Security, why haven't they been charged and thrown in jail?
This is why the justice system in this country is plain stupid.

Maybe it'll take another terror attack for the Government to do something or for the courts to realise terrorists aren't friendly people.
if anything its better to have them under our surveillance. send them back to pakistan and god knows what they'll plot against us.

it's bugger all to do with the EU. we don't share borders with the EU at all - we are a member of the EU but we still have an effective border between them. Every EU national who wants to come to the UK for whatever reason has to show a passport or ID card and the same goes the other way. a pakistani national has to do the same. This is unless they come through via Ireland where we have a 'Common Travel' area, which is nothing to do with the EU but an agreement between Ireland and the UK. Deporting them will make it harder, seeing as they have to fly back over and attempt to pass security checks. If the system is any good they wont. I'm still very disillusioned as to why he hasn't been charged and thrown in jail? If he's a threat then they must have evidence against him?
yeah but the problem is that if you charge him and he's found not guilty you have to let him go freely. they said they do have evidence but not enough (or perhaps they don't want to disclose the evidence - ongoing inquiries, bigger fish to fry?)Quote:
