It does, I don't wanna passively smoke their disgusting habit :(
Not at all... I know full well I'm 100% fit and healthy so its obviously not done any harm to me being around my friends who do smoke.

Not particularly, but I am a smoker. I don't like people blowing smoke directly in my face or anything like that but I don't mind being around people who are smoking. 90% I am around people that smoke / I am smoking myself, it's outside anyway.
Nah doesnt bother me at all, i smoke from time to time so i cant complain.
Yes. Waste of money and no benefits. It's a pointless habit and stinks. I don't particularly care if people smoke, but clean up after yourselves and possibly consider alternatives for wasting money. I suggest prostitution and actually paying for porn :)
if someone blows it in my face, then yeah it's annoying. also when people smoke because they think it's cool bothers me (especially when they're 18 :l). but besides that, naw i don't mind.
Yes, at our college which is supposed to be a "no smoking zone" people smoke outside the door, where there are vents inside, several classrooms are then filtered this air and they absolutely stink of tobacco smoke to the point I have made several complaints.
when I'm sober I do, not so much mind the fact that my friend is smoking around me, but that she's smoking, and when it blows into me, mainly because it makes me smell. When I'm drunk I don't really care but meh.
It doesn't for me. I can see why it does for others though. I have been brought up with my family smoking, although they have all since quit. Some of my mates don't let others smoke in their car, I dropped someone home from college earlier and they were like "i'll wait her for 2mins to finish my ***" and I was like DW, jump in, tis cool.

Doesn't bother me tbh. I don't let people smoke in my car (which is a bit of a joke really considering it stinks in there anyway) but I don't really care out and about or round someone's house if the owners are ok with it.
I don't like it but there;s not much I can do to stop people doing it around me ?
Depends, I think a lot of people waste their money on it and damage their health but the actual smell and smoke hardly affects me. They pay an awful lot of tax and I appreciate that :)
As for social smoking I've no issue with that at all.
Personally no. It's a persons right to smoke and I'm not gonna make them feel bad for a choice they made. I've seen some people deliberately cough in front of smokers, and I just think if you don't like it, you have to the choice to **** off and leave them alone just like they have the choice to smoke. I've even been roped into an argument about smoking when my (ex)friend started saying that a group of smokers should move away from us cause I'm asthmatic and more susceptible to lung cancer etc. and I just walked away from her and had a chat with the smokers. They weren't even near enough to cause harm :@.

I hate walking into college every morning through all the smokers, it's awful.
I don't agree with smoking but I won't kick up a fuss about someone stood next to me smoking. I hate the smell of it though so if it's get really bad I'll stand a bit further back or just go else where.

I actually think the whole smoking ban thing has made it worse because before you had a choice 'I'll go into the pub smoke doesn't bother me' or 'I won't go into the pub I hate the smell' now it's more like 'I don't want to go into the pub... but I still have to walk through the massive crowd of smokers outside anyway..'
If someone blows it in your face then yeah. I remember when I was smoking at lunch once and this guy who gave me the cigarette was just blowing the smoke in my face the whole time we were walking to the shop
yeah hate going to smoking shelters in pubs and clubs.. its like being suffocated. in like yr 9/10 used to go to u18 nights at places where there was smoke everywhere i cant believe it was once allowed. =/

Yeah I hate it. When someone walks past me smoking normally I just cough loudly.
I get irritated by it sometimes but often its my choice to stand by smokers so I cannot complain and its their choice to smoke anyway. I think the smoking ban should be repealed because its another case of 'nanny knows best' from the state;- I mean you cant (by law) rent a room and have a smoking club but you can organise group sex orgies whenever you wish. The fact of the matter is, a pub is (or historically has been) for people to drink and have a smoke and I see no reason for government to tell pub owners how to run their public houses - especially when pubs are shutting down every week.
It's conflicting interests really. Pubs can arguably be considered a nicer atmosphere without smoke. Not sure what the cause for the sudden dislike in pubs is though. People seem to just be going off them, whether or not it's because of the smoking ban.Quote:

Both my parents have smoked since they were young, and it does quite annoy me. Our garage always smells like smoke, and I can smell it on them a lot of the time.
I feel sick when people smoke around me, it makes me cough and makes my asthma worse.
I'm 100% against smoking in general anyway.

So when somebody is smoking it doesnt reallt get on my nerves, i always walk away though because i hate breathing it in.

Both of my parents smoke and it irritates the hell out of me. Always having to wait for them, they stink, etc.
It bothers me extremely. I will not talk to you if you are smoking. No one may smoke in my house. I do not want to go anywhere where there are lots of people smoking. I hold my breath when I walk past people smoking on the street. It makes me feel physically ill, my skin feel horrible, my eyes feel dry/itchy.

As long as it isn't done in my face or in an enclosed space, then no it wouldn't necessarily bother me. I would still prefer them to not do it near me though.

There's nobody in our house that smokes any more but when somebody comes over who does we don't mind letting them and it's weird how I can always smell it afterwards. Even when I don't know that anybody has been, I can always tell. For me the smell depends on the brand of cigarette I think - some smell nasty but some are alright.
