I'm not sure I understand how they got away with giving him 6m when like someone else said there were rumours of him being able to get more like 20m if pushed. Either way, sad to see him go, everyone recognises last season was bad but really I don't see how he can be sole blame of what happened. O'Neill is odds on to replace him and I can't stand the guy ;l Hiddink is up there though, i'd take him.
If they sacked him they would have to have paid him 16m which was written into his contract. Therefore they bought him out so he left via mutual consent, therefore Liverpool didn't have to meet the contract.Quote:
