Besides, the thing with live action movies is the issue of compressing the episodes into a decent storyline. In the case of something like FMA, Brotherhood is already a (in some points) compressed version of the manga, and yet it still spans 64 episodes, or roughly 20-30 hours. Compressing that into movies would really ruin the storyline. In respect with the Cowboy Bebop live action, although they'll have to compress 26 episodes, which will be roughly 10+ hours of footage, a large number of the episodes in the series, although awesome, are not important to plot development, so I can see them reasonably cutting it down to about 2 hours.
