Switzerland have kept it nice and compact in the middle and let Spain attack on the wings. Spain have no ariel threat up top.
Switzerland have then gone and broke straight down the middle and scored.
Switzerland 1-0. Somebody has found a way of dealing with Spain. Except the fact that Spain has had 70% of pocession lol.
All possession and nothing to show for it.
Switzerland are playing really well, Spain should've had a penalty though.
they are finally bringing Torres on. Somebody up who can head the ball.
Is it me or are Spain just diving?
Yeah they can't stand it when they get beat. Switzerland just hit the post again lol.
i just woke up like saw them hit the post and had a heart attack then i saw the score, when i fell asleep it was ******* hondraus and chille.
honduras chile was a good game
Chile dominated from start to finish. Spain have dominated this but atleast the Swiss can defend. I jus get the feeling that the goal is going to come.
Has anyone had Switzerland to beat Spain? :|
I had 2-1
I did say that Spain wouldn't win the World Cup considering everyone was bumming over them.
Still expected them to win the group games though
Well played that Spanish kid aha.
****, we got Switzerland in our Euro group.
whaeyyyy that's was brilliant :)!
I was so pleased about that game. Chile v Spain will be a good game, both very attacking by the looks of today. This group is all going to come down to Goal difference, I can't see Switzerland losing to Hondurus.
This has blown the group wide open. So far, Chile 1-0 Honduras
and Switzerland 1-0 Spain. So if
Switzerland beat Honduras,
Spain beat Chile,
Chile beat Switzerland and
Spain beat Honduras
(all likely results) the group finishes with a three way atop the group. Could just be a matter of who thumps Honduras the most.
Switzerland can win all 3 games. Spain should win the last 2 games, but that's a should and who knows. Even if they do, there's a good chance they will play Brazil in the next round.
Why not bring on Fabregas for Busquets is beyond me, they have Alonso to hold and Fabregas can actually dribble through a defence if needed and create something. Xavi wasn't as good as Alonso anyway, Alonso had great distribution.
Chile are my dark horses for the tournament, they'll never win it but I think they'll surprise people. They beat brazil twice and finished above them in qualifying.
Maybe they are the perennial underachievers afterall.

Chile are a better team than Switzerland. Not saying Chile will beat Spain, but they are 2nd best in the group.Quote:

If Chile beat Switzerland, and lose to spain and spain win both games and switzerland win against honduras, then it will be 6, 6 and 6 so yeah, GD will matter. I can see Spain smashing a few past Honduras.
Makes me proud to be Swiss
Brazil beat them twice and finished above them.Quote:

they are a good team. they're just in the draw with brazil and spain. if they were in another group, they'd do well. if they had suazo today, they would have scored more. they like to attack and teams like brazil and spain can pick them off. argentina's defence is just pure ****e.Quote:

I think a small country will go far in this world cup.
As for Spain, its not often that the favourites win the World Cup tbh. I don't think they will go further than the Semi's to be fair.
Couldn't even see the game properly because I was in a beer garden so there were lots of lovely reflections on the screen but here's a tip Mr. Del Bosque; NUMBER 9 + BENCH = FAIL.
Torres was hardly sharp :P Not fresh enough at the moment to start. Same goes for Fabregas, although I still think he could have made an impact.
I think people have forgotten that Spain are the great World Cup underachievers.
Nah Mexico are, remember?Quote:
