What do you think Caused all the Listeners to Drop?

I Think its the fact listeners bearly get involved anymore its almost like they know that if they enter a comp they'll lose... what do you think? D:

the dj's
they are all too young and i only tuned in when they were over the age of 16

I dont think its the djs cos there age dosnt matter there actually all great

nope - the party rooms are still having the same amount of listeners as they used to have, there was still the same amount of requests as we had.

I think the decline is users is less visitors to the actual habbox.com site iteself. People not visiting for rare values instead just using the market place, other than news what other reason is there to go on habbox.com? I think some things have to be done more interesting content maybe competitions should be put on there too some features that will want people to come back - if i was new to habbox and went on habbox.com I don't think there would be very much to bring me back atm. :)

I agree - when i was assistant manager I made a room on Habbo as a chill room for a place that DJs and listeners could go and talk with each other and stuff as I know it is something the listeners would like and they'd feel more involved if they could just go and talk to them - I know the listeners would love that. Anyway I made the room and got told I wasn't allowed to use it by Roxy because that's what the help desk is for, which it clearly isn't but hey!

I agree with this. I made this point in the other thread before it was closed, and i agree that Habbox.com has pretty much nothing apart from news & rare values, which aren't as needed now the marketplace has been introduced.

Yeah and i could have sworn jake was getting rid of the graphics section on hx cause of all the competition from better sites
+ i wouldnt wanna tune into an ugly site lol

and the radio on habbox.com doesnt work.... only habboxlive.com works

The radio works fine for me on Habbox.com :P There was issues a week ago about the radio being broke and not many DJs being able to stay connected without it buffering and stuff, idk if it's sorted its self but that didn't help either.

also i think habbox is geting a bit boring, like the news is good but abit boring, djs over play songs and they always play chart

Not every single one does, I don't. I personally hate chart music and try to play more rock ;)
Lately I've seen other DJ's play more variety but yeah, chart music dominates the radio obviously.

the fact of the matter is, no matter how hard you try - you will never satisfy everyone and it's silly if you try to (not a dig at you keri, just replying to your post cus it was the first i could click). people have different opinions on music, but the fact is that most people like chart music because it's music they hear often. :)

Djs play what listeners request. It's not the djs fault that it's just chart music - that's what the listeners want, djs want to please the listeners so they play their requests.

However i agree that lots of songs are played too much - i don't know how that could be fixed though ;)

Radios tend to have moods and go from popular to unpopular all the time. I only ever listened to HabboxLive when it was HabboxRadio, because I liked the discussions the DJs did, and they were about 17-19 ish so they came out with funny stuff. Can't say I've listened to HxL properly though, so this may seem a bit unfair :/

dunno LOL but still habbox is just getting boring now aswell, not just the music and the rare values dont work on normal i.e last time i cheaked

Yeah, I know that. I get enough abuse doing the rock chart ;)
But as you said, everyone does has a different taste in music and the majority are chavs (jokingggggg)

i also think the listeners find it boring, ive been tuned into habbox for a year and im getting sorta bored now but i dont wanna tune out

Well, what do you suggest habboxlive do to improve this?

well wacha think would get listeners will envolved more first? LOL

It's about the listeners opinion and what they want, honestly I don't know myself what would get listeners up.

Right, I'm quite a bad boy and only read the first page of the thread because I do want to respond to this.

I agree with this 100%. The listeners would like to get involved and talk to the DJs, I'm sorry but how the heck does this have relevence to the Help Desk? I'm going to make this post short and sweet, if the Help Desk is needed for this, there should be no point in a Rare Values Desk because "that's what the Help Desk is for".

i don't feel as happy at hxl as i used to either.
so i can understand where the listeners r coming from
things have changed so yeah.

i agree with this ^^, As Sam said previously all the djs only play the listeners requests, if you want a song played then the dj will happily play it for you, i myself have no idea why the listeners are so low and how we could get them back up, but i agree with gina (rokgal) that there could be ways of getting the listeners involved a bit more just kinda unsure how..

No idea, the only things I could see from bringing the room onto habbo were pros can't think of any cons. It would get Habbox's name out more, a bit of advertising. I brought up the thing about the rare values desk as well and how most of the previous ones have failed but it didn't make any difference lol.

have you tryed like doing stuff for listeners like giving them summing for tuning in often like a few site have listeners of the week/month?

i think personally that would be kinda hard to do as they'd have to choose between what 100+ listeners?

About the thing with dj's always playing requests/chart music;
Sometimes if a DJ plays their own style of music the listeners drop anyway. So it's a lose lose situation for people who want variety and stay tuned, and people who want chart music so tune out. And vice versa.

i think a listener's forum should be arranged, where listeners and dj's alike can go to a pre-arranged room, and have a discussion & debate over what hxl needs and how they can improve the service.

like garion said earlier, i'm gonna be honest, a lot of forum users do NOT listen to hxl, and henceforth really have no right to complain.

and as i said earlier (in a thread which is basically a carbon copy of this ;/.) was that i as a dj aim to bridge the gap between forum & hxl, because i think it needs doing significantly.

lol we've all been there :p

I'm not a listener tbh so I wouldn't know. However, the times I have listened, I felt that the DJs were speaking too fast which made it really hard for me to understand what they were saying, making me switch off!

there's a great way to do it, if its recorded whilst the songs are on and then play it instead of speaking so you deffo know that there's not going to bed any swearing

I think the listeners like the fact there are younger DJs, since most listeners are also young. Which makes them not afraid to apply to become a DJ.

That room was a really good idea, shame you couldn't use it.

this room sounds a good idea to me, even if habbox won't endorse it, surely one of the dj's can make an unofficial one?!

It was on topic. The listeners drop when DJs party in the HxHD. This comes into, "MORE DJ INVOLVEMENT."

I think its the DJs. I saw a thread about HxL earlier and so i decided to tune in for the first in like a year. I go on, and for the few like 2 minutes its just some girl with a cough mumbling to herself with the occasional silences and giggles to herself. Honestly? If someone had just tuned in for the first time they would have most likely turned off (i did) and those who were listening probably got bored. I dont know if that happens a lot because i find HxL really boring, playing songs that aren't my cup of tea (lady gaga ¬.¬), but it shouldn't really happen at all if you wanna keep it with a good reputation.
