I hate matt smith though ;P
the hair isn't really like matts and kinda lacks in shading and (on my screen) I can't really see the details in trousers + shoes because of the darkness
not bad though.
I was also wondering if anyone knew of a good way to make the background transparent? Cos I'm using photoshop cs atm to do it and it's giving me issues - just riddling the edges with pixel errors for some reason?

yeah the hair is too straight and combed.

Haha, loving the bow tie! Nice job.
Needs some improvment in some of the areas such as the wrong style hair but overall i love it. (I didn't spot the hair mistake untill people show pictures of Matt Smith and compared the hair!)

Ok, I've revisited the hair, tried to make it more accurate and made it brown rather than black :)
the trousers need to be less black more greyish
