I would be more offended at being called stupid as I am not :)
Neither really. One because this is the internet and people automatically become more rude through anonymity, and two, i know im not stupid and pathetic is hardly offensive.
So i guess if i had to choose, stupid is worse.

I wouldn't be offended if someone called me stupid, because I know it's not true, I'm awesome.
I accept that it's perfectly possible for me to do something to cause someone to think I'm pathetic. If they have a reason for saying it, then I'm fine with that and would probably agree that I'm pathetic.
I guess I'll choose pathetic, just because it's the only one that I'm likely to be called (h)

I'd say pathetic is worse just because saying I know I am not stupid. :P
I find them both petty insults and if I was going to be insulted, I would expect someone to come back with something better than calling me "pathetic" or "stupid".
I put stupid by accident. I meant to put pathetic!
i think id call them stupid if they called me pathetic.
I said pathetice because people often use stupid as a joke so when it's used properly I don't think it comes across so spiteful. People don't really use the word 'pathetic' unless they really mean it.
The word "pathetic" originated from words surrounding sympathy. Hence, sympathetic. Sadly, the word has gone on to mean something completely different now.
The word "stupid" has lost it's edge. At one point in time, I'm sure it was quite the insult yet now - it seems like a joke! Therefore, I'd probably be more offended by being called pathetic.
I wouldn't be offended by either tbh. They're both just pathetic and stupid insults ;P
