Who wants the joke forum Back??? ME!! and others
Reason: There really no where to post the jokes apart from spam!! and as far as i come serrd i think we need it back Lots of people where veiwing it so thats why i think we need it back!!!!

Jokes and spam are not the same. God knows why it was removed.
I was against it when it was proposed that it will be removed, I posted saying I am against it, but Oli decided to remove it. "/
Yeah agreed; Jokes and spam are not the same. They need there own section seeing as I do see more jokes than I have before.
I'm pretty easy whichever way this goes. If there's enough support I'll consider re-adding it.
I thought it was silly removing the post count in that section, let alone removing it altogether. We're trying to encourage posting on HxF, but then sections are removed which had some perfectly good discussions.. and we're told to post them in spam? :S Just seemed a little odd!

no, it seemed pointless and they could just be posted in spam
unless they add post count in a joke forum, theres no point in it coming back and you would also find alot of spam going in jokes and alot of joke-stuff going in spam.
also i hadnt realised it went until i read this xD
I think that if people want a good chuckle they have a direct place to go and don't have to search and search for it in spam. So yea I think it would be pretty good to have it back :)
The ideology behind having a forum specifically tailored towards jokes appeals to me although I presume there was a reason it was removed to begin with. If it's added back will it be active :P
To build on my post earlier, I can see the merits of both sides of the argument. I've received messages from a few people asking where they should post jokes. On the other hand I think its good to get new users posting in spam and breaking down what can be seen as quite a cliquey forum in some aspects.
Sub forum in spam for jokes? I'm for a jokes/funny vids forum cus I found I didn't know where to post and put one in general discussion.. It was removed and put in spam. But I imagine this is done a lot
I used to quite like the jokes forum, and found it particularly nice to go have a chuckle etc. I think newer members quite like it too, and I've also had a few people ask where the best place to post jokes is.
I think perhaps it was the right move to disable post count, since it is difficult for a joke to get replies worthy of post count, since they often end up very spammy threads (as far as I can remember), however it is really nice in my view to have a special forum for them to be posted in.
As Jamesy said, I think if there's enough people wanting it, perhaps it could return in some shape or form, but I'm not sure on the post count aspect, due to remember a lot of "lol" and basic replies, since the discussion of a joke can be limited in itself.

I do think it would be a good thing to re-add the jokes forum. It was quite popular and needs it's own identity.

This basically. I have said before, you can't keep minimizing forums in the hope that the forum in general will become much more popular. Discuss anything has been flooded with just about everything and some members, newer ones in particularly may be put off because say there is no joke forum etc. You don't need forums to be so active that they go off the page after a day, and justify removing them just because you've seen useless posts etc. It takes time for find a witty joke.
