So as we all know there's that story about the world ending on 23rd December 2012. Whether you believe it or not, what do you think will happen the day before? What do you think you'll be doing?
I'll probably be in a very festive spirit and couldn't care less for superstitions.
Probably the same old crap I do every year. I'll just be chilling out listening to some good old Christmas music and looking forward to the festive holidays. The world isn't going to end, it's nonsense.
I just want to say by starting this thread I'm not trying to get all superstitious on people and try convince them the world is ending. I myself am not sure what to think but it's a quite a silly thing to be quite honest. I was just seeing what people think they would get up too :)
Would most likely be called into work for overtime on that day, so daytime would be spent busily seving customers running around like crazy chickens. Evening might be going late night xmas shopping to get some last minute bits, and then possibly doing some wrapping! Ofc the christmas music will be a main feature of the day, and it should be nice and festive! I quite like the week running up to christmas. :D

I don't know why people are worried about the world ending in 2012....its 2010 and for all you know the world could end tomorrow, just because some calendar said it will end in 2012 doesn't meant its true maybe those people could not be bothered to continue writing the calendar so they left it at 2012 anyone thought of that explanation??
I mean lefts face it this calender is nothing compared to Paul the psychic octopus, why don't we stick two boxes in there one saying The world will end in 2012 and the other saying The world will not end in 2012 and we will see if this calender is right.
it's a friday, so does it end on a random time on friday or when it hits 12am on friday?
if that's the case if i stuck to my same routine now i'll be workin thursday night the 20th and then as the clock strikes 12 i'll die
if not, i'd say clubs etc will make stupid events out of it so i guess i'll go party with my friends so we can die happy and drunk

I will be sitting right on this forum commenting in a thread just like this comparing 2012 to the false scares over global cooling, the 2000 'bug', foot & mouth, global warming, swine flu and the rest of them. The next morning I will wake up alive as will all of you, of that I can gurantee (well, to an extent).
Buying a huge, loud firework to set off at 12am ;)

It's a load of rubbish, yes the mayan calendar does end then but it's been misinterpreted. It doesn't mean the world will end it means quite the opposite, it means a new beginning. The Sun alligns with the Milky Way to form some kind of constilation in the sky that represents a tree, the mayans said that on the date of 21st December 2012 the cycle we are in now end and we enter the Age of Aquarius (we are in the age of the Pisces at the moment) and all that means is that we are in a new cycle as the beginning of the cycle all over again. Basically it's like our New Year, when we go into a new year this year the cycle of 2010 ends and the new cycle of 2011 begins, nothing major happens and this is all signified by the fact that we have rotated round the sun once. The Mayans just said that once the Sun alligns with the milky way (once every few thousand years) we enter a new age, thats all. No end of the world, no black holes, no aliens etc.
A quick google of 'Mayan calender new era' will clear up all the silly theories that people have made up, the people who say the world will end in 2012 because of the Mayan calender know nothing of the Mayans, if you actually research about the calender itself and read what people who have studied Mayans for years say, it makes complete sense. The people who made up the end of the world theories just left out the information that made it wrong etc etc
At least we wont have to worry about taxes...
but i'll probs be wrapping presents and realising what i forgotten to buy.
