New Vegas

I'm around 5 hours in, done a lot of quests and sided with the NCR so far. I'm at Novac and being stalked by

Victor.

I started playing it and I'm not into it. Luckily I only Gamefly-ed it so I'm not at a financial loss. I was never a huge FO3 fan but I wanted to give NV a try, unfortunately I don't like it. Mass Effect is my favorite RPG shooter. :(

Once you get ten hours into the game, there are (I counted) five minute loading screens.

Installing to HDD makes it even slower.

Patch coming out soon, I can bear the loading times only for so long, worse than Fallout 3.

The game is better than Fallout 3 tho in every other aspect.

no idea how far I am into it but,

Been in Novac, activated the Helios One power plant and was on my way to see the Khans about the people that shoot you. I haven't finished the quest at the REPCONN Test Site since the Nightkin kept on killing me.

I'm loving it so far, it's not my usual sort of game but I loved Fallout 3 and this is a definite improvement over Fallout 3. Seriously hope that this loading issue gets sorted though.

MAJOR SPOILERS

I've killed House, fully decided on taking Vegas all for myself. The game is so lenient in how it deals with the factions. I'm going around a few groups now and intend to get them all on my side. I've iced Benny and taken his suit.

I played it for hours today. Haven't really played an rpg first shooter since borderlands which I think sucks.

Really getting into it, the quests make you run about abit though :(

Can someone explain about the weapon modding?

ugh I'm well jumpy. Stepped on a mine and jumped out of my seat and then

boone shot the person infront of the dinosaur and I jumped out of my seat. I thought he was gonna wait until she stopped but he blew her head off before that :(

Take out the bugs, loading errors and what not and you have the finest RPG ever crafted.

Loving my time with the game now that I found ways around loading.

ugh. Know the basement quest thing that jason bright gives you where you have to kill the nightkin? once you're in the basement where the hell do you go? because all I see is doors that lead to one room and no nightkin. I already killed 2 that were in the first door of the basement,surely that wasn't all of them :S

I talked to a Nightkin named Davison and convinced him to leave.

I thought the advertisement for New Vegas (which showed gameplay) looked amazingly poor so I'm missing this title. I'm not one for fantasy like games anyway, I'm more of a realist.

Protip: Save your game before going into a casino, you will lose everything on the slot machines

Finished the game (Twice)

Absolutley love the multiple endings (i wont ruin it for you)

It's a damn near perfect game apart from the bugs and the dated engine (But you can look over this as this game is one of only a few that you can completley be emerged in)

Overall i would give it a 9/10

I've got 30 hours into this, only level 21, I want to get to lvl 30 before i start the final mission (i've unlocked it). Can't wait to see the ending...

I played properly the first time and rushed the second time, i'm continuing with my second play through and doing all the side quests and shizzel (Already found the super secret bunker which is ....AWSOME)

I won't start my 3rd and 4th playthrough until after fable and blackops.

You can just restore your saves from the .bak files.....

best glitch ever at the ultra whatsit place in new vegas. I went to talk to one of the white gloves or whatever they're called and it said "White glove is unconscious" and 2 seconds later the woman just ****zed out and collapsed on the floor and then got up again

Common bug with the Brotherhood of Steel alliance quest has happened to me, can't recruit them into my empire. Somehow the NCR suddenly hate me too, that's nice.

By the way, I'm doing the Wild Card missions.

House will be a total dictator.
NCR are poor at total government, good at minimal control.
Legion will just destroy modern civilisation.
So I trust myself more than all the other factions to bring order and peace to Vegas, make it a beacon for mankind and a big resort for all the scientific and artistic minds to all come and enjoy themselves while progressing the whole "back to civilisation" thing.

I love the array of choice in the game.

Mr.Yes is the way forward! I started with the NCR and it glitched when trying to recruit the brother hood of steel as I had changed their leaders so I couldn't progress further with the game so I had to load a save a couple of hours back and change to Mr.Yes unstead.

I'd advise against getting a fable game, the last one disgusted me at how cocky it was.

I've clocked fallout nv once but i have to say i didn't expect it to come LMAO i'll probably wait to play it a 3rd time when the dlc comes out stopping the game from that horrible back to earlier save ending, but atm im boosting out the 2nd save to be a pro sniper, was well gutted the chinese stealth armour didn't turn me invisible though

and is that hidden bunker the BoS? i was never going to turn against the BoS lmao, they're like family to fallout i even lost ncr fame to stick with them

I do think fnv is a bit rushed and empty of things like a friendly radio, and its a bit harsher on the maxing out skills bit (lack of books) and its took the fun out of it by removing bobble heads, i loved my hunt for them :(

it ends but you can return to a earlier save, on the end quests i believe there is always a "Checkpoint" that hardsaves it, not sure though, and at that point you can just turn around and walk off lmao, but when the first dlc comes out it should continue on the main quest, if not i'll be devastated
