What's you opinion on tweed jackets? A few girls from my class love them, others hate them.
I own a light brown one.
Your thoughts?

(That's the closest I could find to mine, mine's much lighter though)
Tweed is a type of wool by the way, much heavier than normal suit jackets.
I like them, provided their slim.
Niall you literally have the worst fashion ideas ever. First you wanted to wear a suit to college, now tweed jackets. It won't make you look older or more individual, it'll make you look like a nonce
My dad has one, he's 65. Just don't.
I'm completely astonished. I'm a nonce for wearing a suit jacket and jeans? Yet in another thread, the same style is getting positive remarks?
i just don't like tweed. take a photo of it. if it's real light then go for it. if it's a murky yellow or browny then you'll look like an attempted professor.
EDIT: might i add tweed is 'in' right now.

if what flyingjesus says is correct, then it's no go... tweed on a 'young' looking person (under their age) is as much a sin as cords on a child/non-paedophile. oh how my mother has tortured me.
Haha cords are beautiful what you on about... no I totally agree you can wear them between the ages of 1-6 when you have no say in the matter and then never again until you hit retirement.
Niall my point wasn't that you actually look like you still have to hold hands when crossing a road, just that even if someone might guess you at 18+ through your demeanor and out of reluctance to insult you, you don't have the features of someone old enough to wear tweed without looking like you're trying too hard. You're allowed to like the style, it's just that not all styles suit all people and tweed would not do you any justice. I love the sort of pseudo-goth Edwardian look on some people, but I know it wouldn't suit me because it looks best on spidery-looking chaps and I'm short
i don't believe there's such a thing as vintage for men so most definately not! could try and get a good resale price depending on it's brand.
vintage can sell for £100+ :P
A tweed jacket at your age? No. And a tweed jacket at your age that an old person died in? No no no.
I thought only old people got stuff from oxfam
a lot of people buy stuff from oxfam now.
There's nothing wrong with using charity shops for clothes. Saves money and can get you clothes that you wouldn't find in other shops.
Are they the jackets that are preserved in urine?
One of my best friends have one, its very indie/vintage style. If you wear it right i think it looks really nice.
