Gran Turismo is THE best racing game series on the planet, it's pretty much the reason why a lot of people have chosen the PS3 over the 360 :P
Forza tries to be Gran Turismo but it just isn't the same (I have Forza 3 and have played GT 2, 3, 4 :P)

There's just so many tracks and cars it's amazing, the career is challenging and fun, + in GT5 you'll have karting, rallying and all sorts. The physics and customisability are fantastic and by the looks of it, GT5 is set to be the best game graphically we've ever seen :P
Oh, and the multiplayer, freakin' love it.
