do you put a star or fairy on your tree & why?
usually put an angel on the top of our tree
star and because angels look stupid ;l
Star because fairys look tacky lol
We put a miniature santa hat on the top of our tree because we're cheap, but my auntie puts a fairy on the top of hers that I made when I was about 6 (which doesn't look stupid fyi jordesh) and my mum puts a star on hers so I am going to go with 'all of the above'.
Fairy! Always have, not sure why. I don't think it looks tacky at all :)
We put the star up because it usually stands out even with the flashy lights on.
We have a silver star. Used to have an angel but she got manky over the years and discoloured so we changed to a star :D

Angel, who the hell uses fairys? so so silly.
We just have an angel, that's the only reason we use an angel. Simples!
Star because we already have is and it's cute. Also, I can't find any really nice angels so yeah..
Star! We have two tree toppers, a straw fairy or a shiny star, enough said :)
Star...fairies don't exist.
I think they do as well. We've got a star that you have to put a fairy light in so it lights up and also because my mum and dad have had it for 35 years so it's become a tradition to have the star. :)Quote:

We used to alternate it each Christmas but I didn't think an Angel looked tacky as a child :P
If I had to choose now it would be a star but we don't even really put a star on top of the tree anymore.
Perhaps you should think of a star as an angel in the distance, therefore EVERYONE has the same thing on their tree!
I have had an angel which has been passed down from generation to generation on top of my tree.
Fairy, always! Not sure why, just always have.
When I was little my dad played a joke on me; I wasn't tall enough to reach the top of the tree so I got a chair and attempted to reach the fairy, used to think she was real, couldn't reach it! Left the room, came back to find that the fairy had flown from the top of the Christmas tree to the fireplace!
I was amazed. :')
You put angels on the top of Christmas trees, not fairies.

We put an angel on ours, it looks terrible but my parents love it so I have to put up with it </3. We have a star on our other one thought but no one ever sees that tree!

star, it contrasts the tree and lights and imo looks better than an angel.
I think angels look pretty on trees. Stars look nice as well. I put an angel on mine.
It depends really as to what fits on the top of our tree, so if we get a tree that almost reaches the ceiling it's normally a star because they are slightly smaller than an angel, but it we got the size of the tree okay (aha) then it's an angel :)
We have a couple of trees so its a mixture of stars and angels!

Weve always had this fairy its really pretty and suits our tree 8) which reminds me i wanna put our tree up ;)

It's always a fairy on mine, although I personally would choose a star :P.
On the big tree we have a star, on the medium sized trees (2) we have stars and on the three little trees we have angels - personally I think it depends on the tree and what decorations you are putting on it, but i'd usually prefer the angel as its the more traditionalist one.

I like the star, I think it looks pretty.
We used to have this fairy right, that was basically stuck on a toilet roll thing so it could stand on the tree but it broke so we bought a star - god the fairy must've been like 20 years old lol.
