hi was reading http://pbskids.org/itsmylife/family/...der/index.html and just wondered when you were born ie first, last etcetc. not gonna bother asking if you think it affects your personality or whatever but do if you wish.
i'm the youngest, only girl with 2 older brothers so yeah it has a massive impact on my personality i think.

I'm the middle child and that almost certainly shaped a large part of my personality. My sister's 3 years older and my brother's a year below, so I was basically the leader of the younger ones while still looking up to my sister enough to copy some of her traits. I think it make an impact on your approach to things too - my sister's really headstrong and full on goes for what she wants, my brother puts in a load of extra effort because he feels he has to match up to us two (who tbh always had things pretty easy) so they're both making futures for themselves and I'm just like w/e I'mma do some finger painting because it looks good right now

i don't need my parents attention to make me feel good and i don't really know if it's affecting my life or not, i just know that i try to be as independent as i possibly can while still living with my mum whereas my brother and sister are totally dependent on my parents and i don't see that changing anytime soon. oh and tom you know the way you said your brother tries to keep up? well my mum babys my brother and he does NOTHING, he has no depth, no knowledge to him, he really is a failure of a kid and i say that in the nicest way possible cos i do really like him..... he's just so freakin stupid

i look up to my eldest so when he left i wanted to be more like him and it makes me much more affectionate to people especially my younger cousins and i look down on the middle one because he does nothing. he doesn't feel like he can match up to my brother (nor do i) and doesn't think it's worth doing anything with his life because we'll always be better. sad but that's how he feels and it's had a massive impact on him. the only time my brother and i got along was when i was in to rebelling and he would encourage me to so he could tell my mum and he would get some sorta praise for it.

I do however feel like i have to live upto my sister. My mum tells me repeatedly that she doesnt care what i do as long as i do something and dont end up on benefits/poor. She said she dsoesnt care what uni go to, but despite what she and everyone else says, i still feel like i need to do very welll. Now this isnt such a big deal because i do believe i can somewhat live upto what shes done (although getting into oxford will be hard :P). But yeah, apart from that i dont think theres any downsides to having a big sister. I've learnt how girls act and crap generally and also gives me a girl's opinion on various things (especially now that we're both older and now actually get on unlike when we were both young'ns).

I'm the youngest. I wouldn't say it has affected my personality, as my older brother who I live with, has rather taken thing off of me, as I seemed to have grown up a bit faster than him.
I'm the youngest. I think it does affect me cause my brother's such a **** I've learnt from his mistakes. Also my mother has encouraged us to always be quite independent and I think by being the youngest she's pushed this.
Even though my mum loves me and my bro equally, me and my mum get on much better, but idk if that's because I'm younger or because my brother's a ****.
Not sure that it makes any difference for me, when I was in primary I used to hang out with the older kids dunno why but yeah then middle school mostly my own age, high school some older ones again so they'd buy us *+*things*+* now just whoever seems ok I honestly don't factor age into friendships right now as long as I can get along with them. With my closest group of friends I'm like the one who has to organise everything but I don't think that's because of being a middle child that's just them being uselessQuote:

I'm the youngest, but my mum has always treat us equally. It's kinda strange though, when I was younger I was a bit of a problem child lol. Mum couldn't go anywhere without me either wondering off and urm... I used to scream in Sainsburys... a lot. Whereas when my sister was younger, she was an angel. Not sure if I did that for attention or not lol.
Now we've kinda switched places, I'm no problem and my sister can be a nightmare.
My sisters moved out now, so now I get spoilt more than her, but that's purely down to the fact I'm still living at home.

I'm the first of two.
I have a step sister, who is much older than me but I didn't really grown up with her or anything, so I put first, then I have my brother and little sister. I would say my brother gets a lot of attention from my dad, being the only boy and they do sports together. Then my sister is only 3 so everywhere we go she is flooded with attention off everyone. I like being a role model for them :)
I'm an only child and to be honest i've turned out quite selfish and greedy, normal?
I'm the youngest, but my half-siblings (same father ;)) were already out and living hundreds of miles away when I was growing up so I rarely ever saw them.
