When people make a pointless post they get a PM about it blah blah blah. When you look at the post it says Edited... But it wasnt edited? I Think mods should delete pointless posts... As editing, you dont edit it, you just send a Pm to that user...

I like the current way of doing it. :)
We do edit pointless posts as a rule. They are edited to add the modwarn. There is no reason to delete the whole post. We only do that for unacceptable content/swearing etc. Hope that helps. :)
I cannot find any evidence of any content being removed from a pointless post you have made, Ben, since you have been here. Link? I am not saying it has never happened what I am saying it is not the procedure we follow. I cannot see the point of deleting text unless it is necessary- it would make the forum look terrible with (*Removed*) all over the place.
Oh, I didn't mean it like that catzsy I meant you do edit the posts to say not to pointless post lol. I was just telling Tyler that lol. Sorry.
The way the moderators deal with pointless posts is fine as it is, we do not delete any posts or threads but we will remove them out of public view if needed.
We never delete things as they are needed for evidence etc. they are just removed from the public view. As Rosie said pointless posting is against the rules so it's dealt with like any other rule except the content doesn't get removed. I'm not sure what you mean when you say "When you look at the post it says Edited... But it wasnt edited?" but they do get edited :P
Things like this don't get deleted, as Nicola said we keep everything like this as 'evidence' and for future reference.
They never get deleted; at the very most they just get moved out of site into a hidden forum.
The reason it says 'edited' is because the moderator has to edit the post to put the [modwarn] in :)
