i have waited for this day to come where i can talk about hardcore with someone on here. with a person with pay no respect as their avatar no less. both TGI and DN are two of my most favourite bands in the world
Just loooking through your bands I've seen
saturday 30th april 2011
Bring Me The Horizon
Parkway Drive
Architects
The Devil Wears Prada
I was there too ;D Dont really like BMTH that much but their good live :D
How far back in the line was you cos some people didn't get in until TDWP had finished :o
we made sure to get there early so we could see them, we got there like three hours early, but seeing TDWP was so so worth it
Haha I was loving architects. The new martyr defiled video is out (if you know them) 3:02 proves why you should never get drunk at a video shoot curtasy of me :(
Yeah I love Justin Bieber.

Anyway, what is hardcore exactly? As in hard metal or..?
Depends what you mean by alternative.
I listen to a massive variety like AFI, The Cure, Dream Theatre, Tom waits, Children of Bodom
Warning: Conatains language that is filtered on the forum!
personally im not a huge type of this sort of hardcore, but this band are one of the biggest/most popular hardcore bands ever

ghosts of a thousand
johnny truant
i killed the prom queen
dry kill logic
i-def-i

I like quite a few hardcore bands, The Devil Wears Prada, Underoath, Asking Alexandria, Attack Attack, the list goes on.
The last two are more "trance metal" than hardcore but I like them all the same none the less. One hardcore song that I really dig that I can't figure out the name to is:

If anyone has that iphone app or whatever it is that recognizes every song, use it on that video please! =D
FINALLY, somebody with good music taste.
i used to be into this **** a lot more when i was younger, like 14/15 ish
i still listen to some now, but i listen to a lot more genres now
I listen to all sorts too such as grime/dnb/punk etc but I prefer hardcore/deathcore as 90% of the time the music is what the bands want to play not what they think people will like. In the words of Pay no respect "This is who I am, This I what I live for" :D
post-hardcore!
Hard/Deathcore are where its at :D haha Listen to this song it is actualy awesomeeee :D

i saw bmth pwd tdwp and architects too, in manchester though! architects were immense.
mainly been listening to the above, your demise, suicide silence and while she sleeps recently.
how do people not grow out of this stuff, it's insanely boring. i used to like these bands when i was 13.
yeah that's a very good point, i think they'll be alright this time, the good thing about the Australian hardcore/metalcore scene is that all the big bands know each other really well, and this time the vocalist is coming from a band that Jona manages and stuff, so i reckon there won't be any problems
Because everyone has different tastes. You may like a kind of music that everyone else commenting grew out of? If you actualy listened to the bands we're talking about you'd realise you "grew out" of a completely different genre of music. Hardcore/Deathcore music the lyrics acutally mean something not like Pop-Punk/Rock/Hip-Hop/Grime which is just what the audience wants to hear rather than what the band wants to play. So shortly you grew out of MCR, BFMV, All Time Low and McFly Etc.etc.etc.etc.etc

Despite the name Kasabian, I do like a lot of genres, death metal and the such being one of my favourite.
I've been on stage with Annotations of an Autopsy :). Although, my favourite band in the metal category is The Black Dahlia Murder - who are insanely good live!
