Any tips on how to calm myself down? I mean i get all paniced, look at all the questions and get most of them wrong in the process..

Revise? That way you actually can remember some of the stuff you're supposed to. People think it's lame to revise, but if it's lame to get a good job as well then by all means don't revise (Y)
Breath slowly, try and think clearly, maybe have some gum or something - I always take a pack of gum on test days, the chewing (as weird as it sounds) helps me concentrate. It depends on what you need personally but breathing slowly & deeply tends to help most people
yeah chewing gum has been proven to increase concentration but if you're there for longer than even half an hour n have no where to put it then prob not a good idea n idk how thatll help anxiety
don't revise like an hour before the exam is my tip or youll just confuse yourself and get everything wrong. just relax, arrive early, read all the questions before starting to write, if you've looked at past papers you'll know what to expect, keep water next to you. if you start worrying during a question just stop take a sip of water and try again.
I get nervous too so I know it's hard

Take three deep breaths and sing your favourite song in your head. That's what I do.
When I get nervous I need the loo, so water is never a good idea for me xD
yeah that's true, I rushed my mock cause I needed the toilet so bad lol. just little sips will do though & if she gets there early an uses the toilet before shouldn't be too badQuote:

Skim through the exam paper, and do the questions you find easiest first. By the time you've done those you'll be in the right mindset and thinking clearly about the other questions. I always always panic when I open any sort of exam paper because the first question always looks like a foreign language and I start freaking out. Revising A LOT calmed me down when I did my Module 5 in Maths, I was still nervous but it was just nerves about the actual exam, rather than the fact that I hadn't revised as much as I could have (something I did during my Module 3). Some of the questions were challenging but I ended up with an A in the end so I was quite proud of myself! :P
Before Exam : Do lots of revisions , prepare for your exam
During exam : Take deep breathe, drink some water. And tell yourself, Math is so easy. Give yourself some confidence.

Obviously you'll be a bit nervous, it's an exam afterall. So is everyone else so remember everyone else is feeling the effects as well.
Maths exams have several advantages over other exams though which should calm your nerves. Namely, that you can take any route you like to answer the question and if you look at the mark schemes for a lot of maths papers most questions have multiple schemes for all possible solutions, many of which are completely different. Even if you put down a method which isn't covered by the mark scheme, as long as your working and thought-processes are clear and the answer is right then you'll get the marks.
Also bear in mind that for exams involving calculations it's not a big deal if you don't get the right answer at the end, as long as you know how you got to that answer. So if you think you know how to do a question up to a point but then don't know what to do from then on: don't scribble out what you've done. Just leave it. Or if you're 100% positive your working is right but the answer doesn't look right then again, don't assume it's wrong: leave it. You get like 1 mark off the total for the question if you have the wrong answer in a maths paper, as long as the working is right. They want to know that you know how to get to the answer, they aren't bothered as much about the answer itself.
Also most of these maths exams say you're not allowed graphics calculators but I've never been told otherwise by an invidulator during an exam. Bear that in mind, especially when a lot of the time you can be 100% certain you've got full marks for a question before you even leave the hall with a graphics calculator... ;)
Study, revise, breath in and think logically. Nuff said
don't over revise too because you're bound to forget it and if you don't know a question don't sit there blankly and move onto the next, come back to it. breath slowly and i've been told eating a banana helps, but i don't know. xD

ROFL, well done Miss! She was giving out calculators and told us before the half term it was a calculator test. (btw this is a year 9 end of year thing so no biggy)

The one below was 16 to the power of -3/4 or summit. I knew to make it positive you divide it by 1 but typed the rest in the calculator as did not understand the whole root system :L
