Hey why don't we all protest in Hallway one?
But it looks to me as if they're trying to wipe out old Habbo as much as they can, such as the Bobba filter, volter removal and now the removal of public rooms. They could have made some fantastic rooms if they actually bothered to develop new public room furniture and features but no, they're so lazy they wanted regular users to do it and have the same old **** in EVERY Habbo room.
Just when I thought they couldn't go any lower. :( Farewell, my dearest Welcome Lounge. So many memories in there... and in the Hallway rooms and the Lido... what has the world come to.

It's a great shame they've closed them, yet another piece of Habbo nostalgia wiped away. My favourite room was the Rooftop Cafe which had been missing since we merged, I'm sure? I'll also miss the seasonal Theaterdrome's. Anyway.. for nostalgias sake... http://www.habborator.org/dump/index.html

As eoin said, end of an era. That was all we had left of old habbo. If only I could have been there to wave it goodbye. Maybe just a small section of the old rooms would be nice. No point in just deleting them. I guess habbo wants to set a new era, so let's enjoy the many things to come :)

Agreed, the rooftop was nice and small. I didn't really like it though due to the fact that everytime you went there it would be full of people trying to act e-hard, probably my second favourite room though.Quote:

To be honest I don't see the point in them any more.
They had outdated graphics, few people used them, it took time to make them, they cluttered the official rooms list - especially on the beta console.
If they were to keep using them they ought to have given them all an update and fresh new paint.
Frankly I'm glad it had an overhaul. Although I would have liked an updated welcome lounge to have stayed. :(

I am not sure what this is about as new members will find it hard. They are the ones that use these the most really except the protesters in Hallway 1. :P

It's a terrible shame they went ahead with this. Personally I find these new 'public' rooms to be quite laggy and they aren't places that I would generally like to use, unlike the old public rooms.
Oh by the way guys, even more sad news. I was talking to a technical staff that day and she said the game 'Freeze' was the replacement to snowstorm and hence it won't come back...
i agree the end of the public rooms IS THE END OF THE WORLD. r.i.p (your name here).
Now I think about it, most of the public rooms were rubbish and unused. I think they should have at least kept that amazing hallway that loads of fansites used. They should have also kept like the picnic area and the main ones!

I think that the Welcome Lounge could of been kept due to the fact all the users who are new and only just registered know where to go and where to start.
However, I think the majority of public rooms were just going to waste, to be honest.
The Welcome Lounge and Pools were always used. They should not have removed these rooms.
I hated the public rooms after BETA anyway, did you see them? Half the rooms had lost their touch! The backgrounds had been replaced with black backgrounds and everything!
