Would you break the law to save a loved one?

Would you break the law to save a loved one?

Does it matter to you the extremity of breaking a law, to save one you love?,
Or is there limits to what you would do, differing how much you love them?,
If there is such a person in your life, name them. (as in bestfriend,mother,father,girl/boyfriend ~ no particular names.)

For me, I would really have to say it depends on what's asked of me, because some things a person like me can't pull off, as in breaking them out of jail, or drug dealing to pay off a debt, These sort of things are out-of-reach to me, but if the law that was asked of me to break was something like, arson or theft ~ still with limits, but are more to the side of plausible.
I can't name one single person, there's a lot of people in my life that mean something to me, but there is not much that I won't at least try, to save one of them.

'save' in what context? meh i'd save just about anyone from death if i could but if someone asked me to do something that would get me jailed or in trouble, i wouldn't do it. if someone is too cowardly to take the consequences of their actions and wouldn't mind me taking it instead then they're not worth my time and i wouldn't feel guilty saying no:P nor would i devise a plan on my own accord if it meant getting in trouble, maybe if the loved one was wrongly accused but i'd rather fight for truth than lie for them for example. i wouldn't try save someone if they were guilty no matter how much i loved them.
if there was money involved, might be a different story....

Depends on the context really.

If by 'saved', you mean saving them from punishment (covering for them) then no cos you're then teaching them that they can come to you whenever they're in trouble and you'll take the rap for it so I don't think that's really saving anyone.

If by saved, you mean saving them from death then yes I would try my best whether they were a loved one or not as no-one deserves to die if you have the power to stop it. I'd then hope that the justice system will acknowledge that I broke the law for good reasons and let me off as lightly as possible, depending on the crime.

Well it would all depend if it was a situation that I could help then yes I would.

Yeah of course if you mean save as in save their life. I would do it to say almost anyones life if it didn't put me in danger because the law is made to keep people safe so breaking it to save someone shouldn't be a problem. Obviously you can get much more picky like does it involve me killing someone and judging who should live. But in general terms yes i would.

i would break the law without a doubt to save a loved one (only mother, grandmother and sister though) but i don't think i would ever do it for a girlfriend/wife. i would kill to protect my family though.

lol what is "save" like if they were about to die? of course. by loved one i only consider my brother, sister mum and dad... anyone else can **** off if i'm completely honest

i don't really have to think about, my friends and family mean the world to me and i'd do anything for any one of them.

Yeah I'd do anything to save the lives of my mother or sister, if I didn't, knowing I could have saved them but didn't would probably kill me anyway. In terms of getting them out of a sticky situation I would be tempted to, I have contemplated this before but my mum told me to stay out of it, I just feel happy and at peace when my family is happy and at peace.
