I got it as well, although I didn't need the 170 patches.

I've got VIII for adding 100 holes even though I only have 40. I don't know what I did though!

The more furni in your room, the higher badge you will get. I have 1 hole and got VIII badge

I dropped it in my trade city, although that has loads of other patches I thought that could have been why.

That works only with patches

for example 100 ice patches + 70 skating will give u X
