Just checked it out, looks nice.
It's actually not bad for a 'sudden Google tweak' and I'd love to see it implemented. Buuuut there will be hordes of naysayers who like YouTube just as it is so I don't see it being mandatory for a long time.
Noticing your channel too Rob, you lose quite a lot of the customisation, header etc. which is a bit rubbish.
