DAY 1 - Your Favorite Royal Rumble
2001 Royal Rumble.
Dudley boyz v Edge/Christian for the tag team titles. Good match, alot of swings throughout the match, ending with the 3D an Devon pinning to win the titles.
Benoit v Jericho for the Intercontinental title, in a ladder match. Again, a good match with many offensive moves used, still remember jericho trapping benoit under the ladder trying to get the belt, and obviously benoit tipped it over. Also remember jericho applying the walls of jericho on top of the ladder. Superb, with jericho winning the title.
Chyna v Ivory for the WWF Women's title. Fairly boring, Chyna dominated then 'injured' her neck doing the backspring elbow. Ivory pinned to defend the title.
Kurt Angle v Triple H for the number 1 contenders spot. Great match, Trish Stratus at ringside for angle, Stephanie at ringside for Trips. Had a catfight. Angle knocked out the ref, Trips missed hitting angle with the belt and got a belly to belly suplex, then angle missing with the belt and getting pedigree'd. Stone Cold come down and busted trips open, for Angle to cover and win.
Royal Rumble it's self was amazing. Was a hardcore rumble, weapons used etc. Highlights were the honky tonk man coming down, singing his song only to get hit with his own guitar and eliminated by kane. Stone Cold and the Rock threw kane through the middle of the ropes, for kane to come back and eliminate the rock.
Kane then got a chair and went to hit Stone Cold, who avoided it and stunner'd him, then hit him with the chair 3 times and clotheslined Kane over the top rope to win the rumble. Superb.
As you can tell i've watched this a few times (A)
