Just wondering what's happening about HabboxLive.com, is it going to merge with Habbox.com or has the idea been scrapped?
It hasn't been scrapped and it is still happening. It's just taken longer than we would of liked but regardless of that, David is actually currently working on that project. It's progressing quite nicely so far!
What can take so long? Surely you just move all the pages to a HxL tab on Habbox.com and it's sorted? :P
If we was doing it that way, then yes but we are doing it differently. We don't want to just shove the content they need under a tab and just leave it like that, we want it so when a user visits the habboxlive section through whatever URL they will have a nice experience and a different experience compared to the other pages on Habbox.
i think i heard somewhere early 2012 was the estimated time? is that rightt?
in the summer
Why is it being merged? :S
Well then you ask yourself: Why are they both separate on two different sites? When they can become one site and therefore each time someone tunes into the radio they will actually see Habbox and what else Habbox has to offer. It would also be easier to manage if they are on one site and there will be other reasons too that I can't think of at this moment in time.
Don't be silly now, the world ends next year! ;)
In no way is the merge being coded such that HxL is just going to be a generic element of Habbox.com. The intentions of design for the merge are such that HabboxLive will still retain unique features after the merge has completed. The merge will not be one of minifying the significance of HabboxLive, but instead it's going to introduce new modern features to our radio station, presented in a form factor easily accessible from the Habbox.com website.
True as if its merging?
O.o Cool!
Well, I've been hearing rumours it has been indeed going thru' some stuff to merge it both.
Guess I'm correct?
Sounds good :D
David.
Satistically, you are wasting money on extra URLs because from what I recall most people (who are still into unprofessional Habbo radio) tune in via the main site anyway. The HXL site itself didn't have too much unique content anyway, just some shows, music picks, competition info. HXL isn't the powerhouse it was in the good ol' days to justify a whole separate sub-site for it.
Just how it should be, on the same Platform. no going to another website, as i know alot of people that tune into HxL dont even use the main site, or even the forum.
i Reckon it will attract new users :) in my opinion xDD
If they are still progressing with what was planned before this will definitely be an improvement, it's such a shame it's taken a long time as originally it was scheduled to take place between June/July :P although Habbox underwent a lot of managerial changes during that time so I guess this could be why things were delayed.
If they are still going ahead with what was planned it's a huge project and obviously David's got lots to do, but will be completely worth it when it happens.
I just joined the forums and looking at through the habbox community,
I like where things are headed and from reading the previous updates seems as though everything is getting some attention.
Can't wait to see how everything pans out.
