Hey,
Basically I'm in need of the following:
- Keyboard
- Mouse
- Headset
I say need because I've had these for so long they are now breaking/falling apart, especially my headset. If anyone can suggest any good products of what I need then that would be great. I don't mind if they are designed for gaming, as I do game on a regular basis etc.

As someone mentioned Tesco or Argos. I game and have a basic keyboard and mouse. If you want to heavily game and have proper precision then get an expensive one but I feel for the majority of people a basic one is adequate
Thats the point though, what would you think is expensive.
People used to standard keyboard/mice will think £30 is expensive, others will think £100+ is expensive, etc.

I'm looking at a Razer keyboard when I next change mine, I love my Saitek Eclipse II though. In terms of mice, I've been very happy with my Logitech MX518.
I don't think £30 is expensive but I also don't want to spend £100 on each product. So above £30 but below £100, I also want them all wired, no wireless and the headset I would prefer it to be a USB connection.

The only other thing I'd suggest is a keyboard I saw recently which had cherry mx's on just the frequently used keys (i.e. not symbols, numbers, couple of others) I can't seem to find it though. You may be able to drop the latency by a few ms with a gaming keyboard but if you're that bothered you may as well rig up a kinect to your computer since latency between thought and the act of pressing the key all the way down is of greater significance.

I've had a lot of mice (Some very expensive) but none have been as comfortable in my hand as a generic dell xps one. Although it may be a good idea to get a slightly better mouse for gaming (I have no clue what the sensitivity on the Dell mouse is but it's probably terrible).
Edit: As for headset I'd get headphones and a mic separate, that way the boom doesn't obstruct your view and you also have some headphones which are of decent quality for sound.
I've never had the boom get in the way of my view before, But I also don't want to get a cheap arse desk mic because they sound awful. So if you have any recommendations for them, fire away!Quote:

If you're dead set on a headset then I've heard good things about the Plantronics ones (Particularly the 400 series but they're all good).
Also I realised the boom in the way of view was silly when i wrote it, I meant to say just generally in the way e.g. drinking something or similar (Thought one thing, wrote another).

Buy it and you'll never look back to non-mechanical keyboards ever. Got one myself and it has to be the best keyboard I've ever used, hands down. Feels amazing to type on and excellent for gaming as well.
