125ers

In order to desecrate our D&D forefathers and also to deal with the fact that D&D is dead now instead of 56ers we shall have 125ers for the WHOLE technology forum. All those people who came on christmas day five years ago or whatever, I’m sorry to burst your bubble but the times they are a-changin’ *bursts into harmonica interlude* and I doubt you’ll notice anyway ;)

So to commemorate the first ever 125ers we’ll have to usher in some new voting categories ! (That are very similar to the old ones..)

Most helpful technology and the web member
Most helpful D&D member
Most knowledgeable member

Best Programmer
Best Designer

Traditionally there are no prizes, just the honor of winning :)

Place your votes, winners announced boxing day. You have 24 hours!

I think I speak on behalf of a lot of people, but I've been here 5 years and 1 month now, and jesus this section has changed - you sir, are keeping it alive where so many others have tried and failed, so therefore:

King / Queen of Technology and the Web: Chippiewill.

That is all.

I WON'T VOTE FOR MYSELF FOR ANYTHING *COUGH COUGH*

I agree, it just doesn't have the same feel as it used to. Merging in the damn "computer help" forum ages ago dodn't help.

I'm a newcomer, ish. :P

I would vote, but well, It would be the same as last year, and the year before.

This section is still being killed off slowly, Although Icommemorateall users still here.

This is the new oxford definition of irony. Complains about inactivity, entices inactivity.

d&d is design and development subforum which had the ID 56 in the database. there used to be awards threads like this every year for the d&d forum which were voted in by the "56ers" iirc.

Of course, how naive of me.;)

Thanks! Only asked because Simplex's keyword cropped up on Google.

Ha I Googled D&D and decided it must be Dungeons & Dragons and was then kind of confused with the posts.

Is it just this area that's dying? It seems to me that Habbo itself is dying. I know a lot of people hate some of the new changes, and while some people still use it it seems like social networking has taken over. I think a lot of people on here seem to be looking for non habbo forums similar to this.

I wouldn't be surprised if its the forum as a whole but the none-habbo related sections have died dramatically compared to what they used to be, I remember when Runescape was the most active section of this forum, pretty ironic :P

But I think its also due to theconnataionsof Habbo. I know a lot of people who once used Habbo who now would class it as a kiddy service and so on, because people change, grow up, aquirie new tastes. Habbo seems to be quite a young teen audience and most people when they at least pass their teens leave.

I actually find it strange when people who aren't teens waste a lot of time on Habbo fansites, as in creating new ones, because in a year they are going to probably going to move on when they grow up and at the same time get a job and loose the time they once had. Habbox and other similar sites in my opinion to work better because they have been able to get a large audience/following but still suffer problems, while as the small ones, most of the new ones seem to come and go and never have a chance to actually gain the same following.

I use the Technology section and TV mostly but Music and Gaming to. I'm actually 22 and a non Habbo user, but run my own radio station (has a studio) plus quite a tech geek. But some people wouldn't probably use a habbo forum for non habbo stuff if you get me.

It's never going to be the same...
