Anybody else feeling a bit underwhelmed by the Beta videos on youtube?
Depends what videos, I follow Yogscast and TotalBiscuit, I haven't seen any of TBs Guild Wars stuff but I watched a couple of Yogscasts and for the most part it's about the entertainment for them, they give a good impression of the game but not a very accurate one, I imagine TB would go into a lot of depth..
Having actually played the game, I know what to expect and watching videos and playing it are two different experiences, it's an amazingly well done game and if it launches well I wouldn't be surprised if it dominated the market, it's the best MMO I've ever played.
Cant wait till its out for buy apparently its a one time buy no subscripton
I will probably get this when it's released, well I'm assuming it will be good :P
Just wondering how many are planning on getting this or have already Pre-Purchased it?
I have pre-purchased. Won't have much time to play the beta though. Which is for the best really since I get pissed off after I get drawn in to it and level loads then they delete the acc for retail release :P
Spending £15 on top of the £50 the game already costs just to get some usable items on release because I'll look cool in game for the first 20 minutes - HELL YEAH! (h)
I'm buzzing for this game, haven't gotten into any online games (unless living on Minecraft for a couple of weeks counts) since the first Guildwars and the last time I nerded out was like 3 years ago so I'm going to plough allot of time into this game! :P
BUY IT MATT, NOW!
My friend got the beta she was one of the people who got it and said it was UNREAL lol she cannot wait for it
Just a few random screenshots I took while playing the Beta (Interface has been hidden):

Chatting to my mate, he seems to think that it's a great game for the 10 minutes that it works, then crashes and has to spend another 4 hours getting it to work. Any truth to this?
I've not actually had the game crash on me once, I had problems logging in yesterday when it first opened and took quite a while for me to get on. Bare in mind the game is still in beta and a release date hasn't actually been mentioned I don't believe, so any bugs will probably all get fixed.
I had trouble getting in at first but after the first 5 hours or so of beta its been fine, getting sick of all the people moaning about not being able to get in right away it is a beta after all.
Haven't played it as much as I'd of like to with work and that but it seems awesome so far, kinda annoyed I haven't updated my computer in a while because its looks so good on full graphics :'(

I really can't wait for it to be out of beta. Some of places on the map is so dam beautiful!
These images are quite big you are on a small screen. I don't want the beta weekend to end! :(

I walked in there and was blown away on crappy graphics, turned it up to full (My computer can manage full graphics perfectly, just as long as I don't move at all and there isn't much happening :P) That was really something, the shadows, reflections ARHHH!! The whole god damn feeling of that room was amazing, saddly I didn't get to see much more as I only played a for about 6 hours in total :(
I just love the whole feel of the game, you become so emerged in it, especially when you walk through the city with so many people walking about :P. I've turned off all character ID in game so NPCs and Players blur in populated areas giving it an amazing feel.
Yeah, when I got to that area I was like: WOAH - I also watched a stream of some guys who visited it as well and they went to places I didn't explore and the amount of detail they have put in is amazing. I really can't wait for the next beta weekend and for when it's fully released as well!
I wish they added a first person view, if that's the correct term? So you can take screenshots without getting in the way. I know you can lie down and stuff but it's still a bit tricky.
You need to get a new computer sorted so you can experience the full graphics! I can't wait for them to optimize it even further in regards of performance.

Anyone else on here who has bought it? Was thinking maybe we could all join up on the same server or something and could meet up now and then and do whatever. I guess it depends how many GW2 players there will be :P
Really thinking about sorting out a gaming PC but I've just bought an Ipad so my 'gadget money' has taken a blow so it'll be a while before I save a decent amount for a new PC, but it'll be worth it!
Yeah man sounds like a good idea. You can join more than one guild in this one so we should at least set a Habbox one up. I'm sure by the time the games released a few more people will spring up around here.
I have purchased it and will play on whatever server we decide on.

Beta Weekend Event 2 will begin on Friday, June 8th, at noon PDT (GMT-7) and will run until Sunday, June 10th, at 11:59 p.m. PDT (GMT-7).
If that isn’t enough to get you all bursting with excitement, here is some more news:
Your existing beta characters have not been deleted, and you will be able to continue right where you left off! This means that enterprising players with characters level 35 or higher will be able to test their mettle against the explorable version of the Ascalonian Catacombs dungeon!
Guess I'd better get the client downloaded then :D
