I was wondering if anyone knew of any products that they could recommend for dry and damaged hair. I have literally tried everything, every time i wash my hair it's just so dry and gross afterwards. I will literally try anything +rep to any suggestions.
My mum gets kms California or something and her hair gets really dry usually but this seem to change it, dunno if you get it over there but it's in a White pump bottle? I'll post a pic when I go on my comp
Moroccan Oil is AMAZING. it's quite pricey i think it's about £30 for a 100ml bottle but you can get smaller like 25ml and that's only like £10-£12. I know you can buy the moroccan oil shampoo and conditioner from boots but i'm not sure where you can buy the actual oil from i buy mine online from ebay or amazon.
moroccan oil is fantastic, though i have it done at hairdressers and it costs me £10 to have it sorted.
if you want a cheaper solution aussie masks are great from superdrug/boots you can get them for about £1.49 miracle treatment is lovely. and if you wanna keep it like that invest in aussie shampoo and conditioner :)

you can't really repair hair, you have to cut it but it depends what kinda damage you have. i use a VERY LITTLE amount of coconut oil on the length of my hair overnight or a few hours before i shampoo. it helps retain protein loss from your shampoo. maybe the shampoo you use is too harsh, especially if it's everyday. i use one without sulphates (which im allergic to anyway) from an organic store, i can use it every day if i need to without it drying my hair out too much. coconut oil is cheaper than morocaan (about £8-17 depends how big the jar is) and its fab for weight loss and a skin moisturizer and helps fight infection in your mouth!!!!
if it's heat tools etc can you try heat free styles? ex: bunning/braiding it when it's damp. it helps lock in moisture especially if you add aloe vera gel or a little coconut oil in to damp hair. aloe vera gel brings out my waves and reduces frizziness too.
i like to put honey and aloe vera gel in to a bowl and add conditioner to it then apply to my damp hair after shampooing once a week for a deep treatment. honey and aloe vera gel act as a humectant and help draw moisture in to the hair.
i don't like products with silicone, which most have hence why i stick to natural stuff, because it seals cuticles temporarily and thus blocks out moisture. but if you really just want a random product then id suggest aussie 3 minute miracle deep conditioner.
ALSO COLD WATER RINSE AT THE END. always flattens down my hair.
you just apply it to your hair while it's damp and i brush my hair with a wide tooth comb after so it's spread evenly. it makes your hair less frizzy too if you have frizzy hair.Quote:

When I was on roaccutane which drys out your skin and stops oil being produced even in your hair, I either used Morocan oil or dove intensive treatments, the Aussie stuff makes my hair feel very heavy!
These arent specific hair product but they WORK! Olive oil, apply it to your dry hair and leave overnight (you may want to cover your hair with something (shower cap?) or cover your pillow with a towel and then wash out in the morning that really really moisterizes your hair. Coconut oil (comes in a jar and is solid, it melts at body tempurature i.e in your hands) get some out the tub and rub between your hands, cover hair in it and leave overnight same as with the olive oil, coconut oil is protein so its good for weak hair or damaged hair but dont use it all the time. A good hair product is aussie 3 minute miracle its 99p for a sachet in loads of shops and it really is a good treatment for your hair, it will help you.. the aussie range is really good. I have used all these methods so I can tell you they work :) Also try not to use heat or hairspray on your hair and if you can cut down the number of times you shampoo your hair.

Omg when I get my hair blow dryed at salon my hair dresser uses moroccan oil on me. She used it when I used to get my hair bleached at salon too. Just literally rub it in your hair whilst wet then blowdry it. I also find the tigi bedhead serums really good at making my hair glossy and soft too, but again those are a bit pricey.

moroccan oil is just a brand name, it is really argan oil. moroccan oil is pretty pricey so i would just try out the cheaper brands first. i have a big bottle of moroccan oil and it works the exact same as drug store argan oil. also just focus it on the bottom half of your hair and then put whatever's left on your hands on the top half, or it will make your hair look pretty greasy.
another one i use is raw coconut oil, just go to any health supplement/food store and you can buy it in jugs. i leave it in overnight & wash it out in the morning, it works great.
i also used to use aussie 3 minute miracle, it's amazing for the price but i can't find it anywhere anymore so i had to stop using it. you might be able to find it where you are idk
